We'll be checking into the 4 Queens in a few weeks. It will be our first time staying at that hotel. (We usually stay at Main Street Station).

Cant wait to hear all about it. Also would love to hear about the rooms, restaurants, shows and just general information. Is there anything that is a must do/see or anthing we should avoid?

Thanks and hope you have a profitable trip.

The rooms are just a basic hotel room nothing special. In my opinion downtown is busy tonight. It's great to see. I'm more of a strip person but I'm having a blast down here tonight. I'm a dollar hotdog at mermaids and two dollar Corona guy. So as far as the food goes, on this trip I won't be able to tell you much. I'm on a solo trip so I'm not with my wife so the meals are quick and easy. Just got done with a two hour session of roulette left up $60. I'm not a high spender so that was a good win for me.

Getting ready for football. Ended up $150 playing roulette last night. Downtown observations--it was really busy everywhere last night, the bands played way too late last night and we could hear everything while we were trying to go to sleep. I'm not one to complain usually and I know in Vegas it's going to be loud, but the bands played till two in the morning. Which was really four in the morning our time. So I will be working on very little sleep which I guess is a normal thing for here, right? Binions sports book is a joke, they were out of pencils this morning. The first day of the football season. They also only had one person working two hours before kickoff, no wonder the place is dead. Looks like we better enjoy today as Monday and Tuesday there's a monsoon going to sit over Vegas for two days, just my luck. A monsoon can you believe it I didn't know I was in the Philippines, this is the desert.

I planned on going on this trip by myself but at the last minute my mom joined me. She is the perfect Vegas partner, she does what she does and I do what I do. We got to the hotel at five yesterday we didn't see each other till one in the morning. We both love it here for our own reasons she's a slot player and I'm not so we just meet for meals. Looking forward to getting to the strip today and Excited to be here for an NFL weekend go Vikes!!!!

Sorry about the gloomy weather forecast. We had record rainfall one day, too.

Rats I arrive Tuesday. It either rains or it's over 100 when I go. I just checked and it said only 40% so lets be optimistic that is won't rain.

    Have fun and win big.

Yikes about the noise! Which tower were you in? I believe there is a South tower and a North tower. I guess I'll have to make sure to ask for a quiet room away from the band noise. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your updates. How cool to go with your mom :)

    Hope you continue winning.

I'm confused--those rooms do not look like the four queens rooms on tripadvisor (which look like a weird mixture of yellow, white, and purple). Are the rooms renovated? Is that room standard?

North tower facing Fremont. Not sure if the room was renovated, didn't look it. It's nothing more than a standard hotel room.

I totally forgot about the sigma derby, too much else going on. Zero stinking football wins today thanks to the dirty saints. At least the Vikings won and the packers lost.
We have arrived at the flamingo and the people have definitely gotten more consistently pretty, which I appreciate. Less little kids walking around inside, like downtown. It was kind of depressing seeing so many young kids at midnight yesterday. The strip is definitely one of my happy places, so visually stimulating. I feel at home when I see some of my kids favorite Disney characters drunk on the sidewalk. It never fails to make me smile. I love Vegas.
Heading down for more roulette soon, hope my numbers hit, keep your fingers crossed. Heading to bellagio tomorrow to show mom the display, she's never seen it and I'm excited for her to see it. Hope she thinks it's as cool as I do. Neither one of has won today, but I haven't lost much either. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347243167.376076.jpg

The 'D' is the new name for the old Fitzgerald's casino/hotel property downtown. The long bar is a major part of the renovation.
