Seems like one thing after another at RW. I’m not going to say “so sorry” like someone died, as it’s a bad customer service experience frankly, but it certainly is unfortunate you were treated that way.

That being said, I’m glad you’re trying to find some fun elsewhere as opposed to dwelling on the bad like many, not involved in the situation ironically, seem committed to do so lol.

Whether you finish your trip at RW, or elsewhere, hopefully you can find some fun and perhaps, assuming you play elsewhere, can claw back some of the loses whilst concomitantly giving action to an entity that appreciates it. Either way, definitely appreciate your candor in the situation as I’m sure several people have experienced the same treatment in Vegas, irrespective of the level of action or location.

At the end of the day, Vegas is supposed to be fun and I’m sure there’s plenty of fun to be had, albeit elsewhere.

Just finished brunch at Wallys and it was fantastic. As part of the meal we ordered a three cheese plate. When the server asked which cheeses we wanted. I asked for two servings of brillat savarin (my all time fav cheese!!!) and the server immediately smiled and said "you know what you're doing". We then had a short conversation about the butter fat percentage of that cheese and our first experiences eating it. It really is the best!

Setting aside the problems we experienced on this leg of the trip, I have only great things to say about the dining here. i was worried about that aspect of the visit before we arrived, but every meal has been fantastic.

A couple other random observations I don't think I have mentioned yet:

*The steam shower in the villa is probably the second best steam shower I have experienced in Vegas. Its tough to beat the steam shower at the Skylofts, but this one was close. Took three long showers while I was here and absolutely loved it

*Walking back to the villa form brunch, I noticed a worker scraping the Hilton name off one of the overhead directional signs in the casino (the sign just outside Suns Out Buns Out). Can't imagine why, but I thought it interesting

*The lobbies for the Hilton and Conrad towers have been packed pretty much all the time all weekend. Crockfords has not had any big crowds. I'm sure its because there are so many fewer Crockfords rooms, but that's just a heads up if you are staying here and need something from the front desk, be prepared to wait

Back in the villa to rest a bit and then pack. We leave in about two and a half hours. The negative aspects of this leg of the trip has exacerbated my negative feelings about Vegas to the point where I don't really want to come back next weekend. But we will since we have friends joining us. And I am reminding myself that we still have Disney and beach trips upcoming in the next few weeks. And I think we are going to visit Valley of Fire next weekend, so that always gets me excited. Anywho, right now I'm not sure how much motivation I have to continue this TR. I really don't want my negativity to bleed through too much in my recaps of the action. I will probably feel better about it in a couple days and still be ready to keep reporting from the Mansion next weekend. But as of now, no promises. I will, though, write a more thorough review of the spa in the next couple days. So if you loyal readers still want more reporting from the Mansion and/or Disey World the following weekend, let me know.

I’d like to see your TR continue, particularly if you can provide some BJ anecdotes at MGM as i always find them interesting (and you’re one of the few people here who play my game lol).

The room pics are fine but I think you’re due for some wins in the Mansion, assuming you’re up for playing of course and if so, would love to see some photos of that.

Of course we want more from you @UKFanatic!!!

my dream is to set up a company that manages elite customer experiences and service by using data streams. It’s always baffling to me how corporations focus on new customers and almost completely disregard attrition, and even more so silent attrition. It costs far less to keep your existing customers happy, not to mention happy customers can be your greatest marketing tactic. But myopic view and executive greed get in the way.

At the airport now, but thoght I would share this oe additional (albeit small) F U from Resorts World.

We go downstairs to checkout. The desk attendant asks if everything was god with our stay. I shrug and rply "there was good and bad." He showed the requisite concern and said I should tell him about it and see what they can do. I shrug again and say "let' get through this checkout first."

He prints my bill. Everything looks good. Wet over my F&B allotment a little, but I didn't think it was even worth my time to ask a host to review it. I then ask the desk atendant to confirm that our car is set up to take us to the airport. he calls transportation. Shocker of the year! No car is set up for us. I have the email from the bad host a month ago where he said he would set it up. As I mentioned previously, I learned this host is not the best with details. But the desk attendant doesn't eve need that, he says he will get it set up. He talks to th transportation department for a couple minutes. I hear him mention my host's name. He nods a few times, hangs up the phone, and then says a car will be ready in ten minutes. I sigh, mutter somthing about this transport issue being yet another example of a screw up during this trip. He asks me to please share what went wrong. Now, I know my response was absurd and I knew it was even as I said it, but just hearing the attendant mention the hosts name to the transport department clearly triggered something in me. So i said I doubted there was any point in detailing the problems I experienced, that my hosy had done a poor job (though I did emphasize that the rest of the staff had been friendly and helpful, and that I was honestly concerned that if i complained, the host might quickly learn of it and cancel our car as on final F U to me. I know that's completely illogical, but its how I felt. Fortunately, the car arrived a few minutes later and we got to the airport in plenty of time. But if I see a charge on my credit card for that car in the coming days, I will make it my mission to raise hell against Resorts World lol.

It sucks dealing with incompetency when that's about the last thing you'd expect. I'm a horrible person the older I get and I just assume the worst, regardless. When things go without a hitch...that's happiness.

The entire thing sounds so absurd to me...and I don't know shit.

The first bit just sounded like an angry parent irritated with their child. "I would've never given you $10 if I knew you would just buy candy and ice cream!"

Are hosts of all ages? I just envision Charlotte Rae at the Drummond residence or Robert Guillaume in Benson...you know, responsible people with a personality, never failing who they're working for and witty beyond belief).

Post from The Mansion, please. I always enjoy your reads and this is really all about me, so....

You need to get the NFL Futures in, anyway (What do you think about the Jets O 5/5.5? I think I like that).

I’m pretty sure I started my last TR and then went AWOL after like 1 or 2 nights so just do whatever you have the most fun doing that maximizes your enjoyment the rest of the summer. Of course we all love the TR’s though if you choose to continue!

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about your RW experience.
Have not been there but not really interested in going either.
I'm guessing their entire marketing team is under tremendous pressure. Your host never figured out how to deal.
Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Hosts be damned, this low roller likes your posts even if you bet more on one or two hands than my entire bankroll. Thank you.

We were forgotten at the airport in New Orleans. They eventually sent a car…driver decides to not take normal route. We end up in the middle of a shoot out. Police everywhere…gun fire! Needless to say…needed a strong drink upon arrival to the hotel!

Also, if I get a text at 4:30 in the morning, my first reaction is to assume there is a medical or some other emergency with respect to a family member or friend, which can cause a temporary moment of panic.

@UKFanatic - you can tell that you are a professional person in your "normal" life as your response was about as good as anyone could have been. My first response would have started with expletives and resulted in a call to my host at MGM. I would have moved out that day and not notified the host, leaving the room there empty and without play. A host is a salesperson, no more and no less, and as a professional salesperson I am mortified at the unprofessional behavior of the host. If I treated a client that way, regardless of what my expectations were of them, then I would be looking for a new job.

Bravo to you and your professional handling of the situation.

Thanks. Don't let my report fool you. There are times I blow up, but its rare. I did chew out a security guard (at Disney of all places!!!) one time when he was trying tp physically intimidate me and I wrote a TR last year where my Venetian host abandoned me at the airport and I used your response (ditched him and called one of my hosts at another property). And if this host had found me and said these things to my face, I probably would have reacted differently. At least geeting the texts gave me a moment to get over the shock, calm down, and send a less confrontational reply. Now, I am sort of hoping I get some online survey asking about my experiences because i really want the resort to know all the things that happened that has cost them my business in the future. I doubt it will result in the slightest chnge in how they operate, but it will make me feel beter to have my voice heard

Good read thus far I hope you continue to add to it.

I think it interesting that you and I have both soured on LV , even though we are on opposite ends of bankroll spectrum. I'm not even sure what the issue is with me. It's got something to do with the loss of the personal touch. And for sure it's related to the decline in relative value and gambling odds.
