Super Bowl (Big Game) Weekend 2017

Living in Phoenix I usually go to Vegas 2-3 times a year but going super bowl weekend for the first time. Staying at the Excalibur Saturday and Sunday night and actually got Sunday night free using the rewards from the MyVegas game. I know it will be crazy that weekend but I never expected a comped room for Sunday night. Also in looking around online I don't see where the Excalibur is doing anything special like the other viewing parties at other hotels which is fine with me. All I know is that I will be getting all my bets in on Saturday to avoid the even longer lines on Sunday.

Is anyone else staying at the Excalibur?

 

Staying right next door to you at MB! I have seen comped Sunday nights on Superbowl weekend every year for the past 6 I have been going or researching to go. Not uncommon, and it always struck me as weird also, but maybe people just come up from LA and go back home that night to work the next day since it isn't a national holiday. Me on the otherhand, I have a recovery day planned

 

It is a nice drive to Phoenix and my buddy is driving so I can recover on the way home and lick my wounds from losing money!

 

Hit some nice handpays instead!!

I have done the drive to and from san Francisco and that drive home is a ball buster

 

Last year had Bama to win & Broncos to win. 50-1 odds. Put down 100 won 5 large. Good start for the year. Not so good this year. This will be year 10 for us going to Vegas for SB. Always downtown. Comped rooms @ Hotel California [ nice remodel] Always party @ Binions.{Thanks Tim] 10ppl this year !!

 

Likely doing Ellis Island again - a little more pricey this year but at $75 a person for open bar, all you can eat food, giveaways - it has been a good time the last few years I have gone! (For those of us low rollers who are not getting invites )

 

I'm going to the NYNY party. I started a thread asking anyone what to expect as I've never been to one of these parties.

 

First time going to Vegas for Super bowl.. Is it just me, or does it seem kind of difficult trying to buy tickets to a Super Bowl party online? I've done who knows how many google searches and most of what I find are forums/blogs like this one. Im staying at Hard Rock and even they don't have anything listed about SB on their website (neither do most other casino websites I've tried).

Is it still too early? Or is this something you have to ask about in person for most places?

 

I will be at the Plaza, I purchased tickets for me and a friend tonight.

I am at Hard Rock and unfortunately they do not sell tix to their party at the Joint but THEY DO SELL FOR CLUB VINYL SO CHECK THAT OUT. I got lucky enough to land 6 tix between my brother and I through our host. I've never been, but I hear it's a kick ass party. If ya wanna meet for a beverage I'll be in Goose Island Bar during Blackhawks hockey game Saturday at 5pm. I'll be the loud/drunk/fun/****** at the Video poker bar lol
