The NoMad rooms were okay, but I wouldn't pay extra to stay there vs Park MGM.

I like the Nomad Atelier rooms, however partner doesn't like the toilet separation and in room tub.

I'm not sure they went far enough on the Park or Nomad rooms. E.g. size/layouts, soundproofing, bed, no desk/poor remote work setup, etc.
I feel the Park bathrooms (sans those with tubs) are the best part of all the room updates.

no smoking brings in lots of people aged 25-45 who don't smoke. It's for the suburban parents who either want to get away but don't have bellagio money or who want to go to T Mobile arena or Dolby for events

nomad is for people who used to like the cromwell before caesars ruined it

i'd argue that you need humans to have a soul, and a room is just a room, a casino just a casino.

the vibe comes from the audience and the crowd the place draws. so by extension - being a shell for Dolby (as well as being right next to T-Mobile) is kinda the point.

We really like the Nomad. I don’t care if they call it nomad or backhairs, if they can just keep the same look and service, I’m fine with it.

Well, I might care a little if they post a giant BACKHAIRS sign on the side of the building :biker:

^ received this email for my upcoming NoMad stay

I had one nomad stay before but don't recall receiving an email like this
or perhaps I just automatically deleted it as I usually do with almost all promo emails

pointing out the restaurants and hours and the pool situation is a nice touch
.. although it would have been much better if they added my name instead of the the generic "Dear guest" in the greeting

I stayed at the original Nomad in New York City a few years back. Fun hotel with a great vibe. I've never been sure how it would translate to the Vegas market. Maybe this means it hasn't.

I've enjoyed staying at the NoMad, really lovely staff. Not the biggest fan of their base rooms but the Atelier/GS are lovely. Will be a shame to see it go.

I loved the Nomad beds. The most luxurious and soft linens I’ve ever slept on in any hotel. The standard rooms were kinda cramped but as much as they tried giving that exclusive luxury feel, it’s still basically the Park MGM no matter how you look at it. I can see where they would want to ditch the shared revenue with the Nomad brand. Most nomads are gone in the US.

I have a feeling this will happen to the Delano when MGM starts revamping Mandalay. The other Delano brand in Miami no longer exists and they completely left the Delano name out of all the Marriott partnership info they released.

Roast chicken is no longer the famous Daniel Humm roast chicken. It’s fine but I wouldn’t skip something for it.

Are these the rooms with the bathtub next to the bed?
If so, I am sort of glad. I have seen YouTube videos of the room and they appear very small and a bit weird with the tub near the bed.

I spoke to a Nomad employee. They said the rumor was more likely about the “Nomad” bar. It’s struggling to get patrons….this makes more sense.

FWIW, I think the location of that bar is what hurts its business more than any branding or theming

The fact that I've literally never seen it open for business while passing through or staying there can't be helping either. There was still some pandemic holdover with weird hours when I stayed at NoMad in 2021, but they were only open 5 hours per day, 2 days per week, at the time. I went by another time last year when the web site said they would be open, and they weren't open that time either. I've legit never seen it open, so if I *was* otherwise inclined to make a trip down there from another property, I wouldn't, because I wouldnt trust they'd be open, based on past experience.
