Thanks! I’m in Ketchikan Alaska today on a cruise. Both the weather and the scenery are beautiful!

They could just be updating the verbiage on the website. For now we have zero reports of it happening outside of poker/sports betting. I go in a week so I'm curious what is actually happening.

Take it easy big guy. :D I asked a simple question about a few posts I read on Twitter (X, whatever). And also I am probably one of the most unassuming and least "entitled" people you'll ever meet actually. I was just wondering if it's true because I had nearly 70K tier credits last year (mostly from VP and sports), and I visit AC a couple times a month or so. The Laurel Lounges got rid of real food and only give snacks now there, and on the few times a year I visit Vegas, with no more lounges, sometimes I visit a bar at Harrah's, Flamingo, Cromell, and grab a couple drinks (a Dos Equis or Malibu Bay Breeze usually). I just don't understand how it's okay to just take these away without notice, when you are told these are benefits that come with reaching a certain status. That doesn't seem right. Have a nice weekend.

Oh and to people saying that it potentially is costing CET $100 a day, that's comical. I think even if someone were to redeem all four drinks a day, it would maybe cost them about $5 or a little more on average. On average, an imported beer probably costs them around a dollar each or so (less for domestic), a Fiji water around a dollar, and even more expensive alcohol, let's say two or three dollars. So probably somewhere between $5 to $7 or something for redeeming four drinks.

Is that too much to give to gamblers giving you enough play to reach Diamond plus, Diamond elite, and Seven Stars status?

I forgot to consider drinks at Starbucks and Bobby's Burgers (like shakes), but I'm sure CET has a deal with them where they only reimburse a certain amount of what they charge in real price without a comp. Maybe it is prearranged in their rent agreement or something like that, I don't know. But I'm assuming if Starbucks is comping a $18 coffee that costs them like $1 or a little more, they are not charging CET the full $18.

And just to be clear it was listed as a tier benefit. If they didn’t want it to be a tier benefit they shouldn’t have made it a tier benefit and tied it to ADT or something like they do for room offers. I don’t think they’re taking it away from everyone, but I do feel they shouldn’t be taking it away from anyone. IMG_0196.jpeg

At the end of the day, CET does what it wants... well, because it can, per the T&Cs..

On that note, next week I'll let you all know if I can walk out with 4 milkshakes from a Bobby Burger joint. #gotmilk

No disagreement there. They have the right, it just makes them people I don’t want to do business with.

Actual cost yes, but lost potential profit is another thing.

Though personally I'd rather walk to CVS to buy a gallon of water before I'd buy an over priced water from Caesars. If they wiped that benefit.

I think more likely they removed info. from the website as a CYA manoeuvre, I can picture people holding up their phone showing the website at the rewards desk.

    Will see I guess...

The actual food cost/value of the drink might be $5/drink but that doesn't mean the cost to CET is $5/drink. If this were true then by selling drinks at $25/drink they are making 400% profit. It would be a gold mine then.
Yes, they are making money at $25/drink but its probably closer to $17-20 in actual cost to them per drink when you account for all the costs being incurred to provide you that drink.
Then also considered the opportunity cost of a person using this benefit for a drink. Taking up a seat at a bar, or a lounge chair at Vanderpump means its not open for a possible paying customer. Watching as the 20 people in front of you at Starbucks are each getting 4 Trenta drinks in a carrier and walking off with it. Groaning as it takes much longer (until they fixed it) to process a drink voucher drink and they have to do it 4 times! Then getting to the front and being told sorry we're out of Trenta cups. Thankfully the skip line is now 7 Stars only and not Diamond and higher.

It was a decent benefit for those that don't get fully backend comped, or even those that do. Personally, it gave me a bit more room with $40-50 of my dinner bill being covered by 2 drinks. Also made it easier for me to enjoy an overpriced cocktail with dinner cause most the time I'd be like I can get a scotch on the floor after this for free anyways. Yes, I'm a cheapo. CETs Q1 numbers have their net income in Vegas being 30% down YoY when their net revenue is only down 4.5%. Time to cut the fat and that means players who are costing them money or making them less than others. So I can see some people getting cut off. If they do a full cut off they will really lose players though and valuable ones. For me though, its just an annoyance. They however have already lost my play for other things like the quality/state of my rooms, closing down food places I liked, some venues not allowing/honoring reservations for 1 person, screwing up my reservations and wasting 3 hours of my time to get it fixed on my vacation. Now have they lost all my play? nope, but others are in the mix now. I used to run like $100k coin in a trip all at CP before, now they get like 30-40% of that as I don't spend as many days there during a trip. They are ADT based so my offers are still the same and it is optimal to do a 2 night stay. 2k ADT for 2 nights nets the same offer as 2k ADT for 5 nights and it actually a pretty good offer based on my play if staying only 2 nights. The same 2 nights at MGM netted me like 1/5th the FP of my CET offers. So there is still a reason for me to give them some play.

The 4 free drinks is the primary reason I stay at Caesar’s properties. I’ll stay there gamble and spend money on food and what not. I just enjoy getting the decent drinks at restaurants or a better whiskey then they offer as a comp for playing. If they took that away then I will definitely gamble and stay less at Caesar’s.

The four free drinks a day has been completely wiped from their website as far as I can tell. Maybe they are just taking it away from everyone?

CET Sportsbook used to have one of the best earning rates for tier points and they still lost out in the war for market share to those giving less. Also realize they get all the money from video poker but only a portion of the money won from the online sportsbooks. Add to that in Vegas most the pay tables are piss poor for VP unless you're playing really high denoms and even then the TC earning rate is $20-25/point for full pay VP.

Yes it was and now it’s garbage. Either way the narrative that it’s easier to get status via the sportsbook isn’t true especially as it’s being portrayed on a website that is heavily populated by video poker players who can acquire status easier than any other group. It’s a bit harder in Vegas because the pay tables are so terrible, but it’s still much easier than getting status via the sportsbook.

Absolutely not. Spoke with a bar manager for Cosmo last year and he said $3.00 - $5.00 per drink depending on ingredients is their cost.

400%-700% profit. Time to open up a bar….
The rest of my post that is not quoted explains my reasonings.

If you looking at Cost of Goods sold then yes their cost on the drink is around that. There are other costs like labor, utilities, insurance, rent that have to be factored in. So the actual cost of the drink calculation is way more complicated.
