Coming to Vegas was wondering if there was anywhere they have live dealers dealing 3 dollar black jack? We have a car so we can pretty much go anywhere. I know hooters use to have something but I know it was like video black jack... Also any recommendation for good slots? Thanks for any help!

The Fremont advertises (and has) "$3 Blackjack & Craps - All Day... Every Day!" The BJ is your typical shoe game, no DDAS, but pays 3:2. I've also seen $3 games at the El Cortez, and Sam's Town has a CSM game where you can play two hands at $3. As far as good slots, I personally don't think there is such a thing and don't play them. Have a great trip!

    Fremont street

Do you know what casino on Fremont street has the 3 dollar black jack and craps? Thanks for the info! I like to play the a lot or entertainment mostly I like the play bonus and hope for a lucky hit but I know it most likely won't happen.

The Fremont is the name of the hotel/casino on Fremont Street - downtown! It's pretty much in the center of things (mid canopy).

The Fremont's game is a 6-deck shoe, 3:2, H17, no DAS. Stays pretty full. Offers the 'Lucky Ladies' side-bet...which isn't too bad, as those kind of things go. Pays 4-to-1 on any 2-card 20...more if they're suited and even more if they're 'matched' (two identical cards).

El Cortez has a better game...in fact, probably the best two-deck game to be found downtown. $3 minimum, 2 decks, H17, DAS allowed, 66% penetration.
Personally, I wish they'd raise the table minimum to $5 or $10 so I could more easily get a seat at that game.

Why would BJ have terrible odds? It's the same game unless they have a screwed up rule or the amount of decks hat are involved.

The Westin (behind Bally's and across Flamingo) has $3 blackjack from (I think) 11:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. It's a shoe game and blackjacks pay 3/2. No surrender. The casino is usually empty and there's no vibe at all, but the dealer was friendly and I'd personally rather play there than at Hooter's. You're also very close to Ellis Island which has $5 3/2 blackjack 24/7.

Westin is that east of the strip on the road that's north of ballys that come off Las Vegas boulevard? I'm staying at ballys. I rather play higher game but some of the people I go with don't like to gamble much.

Ellis Island, the best G-D place that no one ever goes to. Short walk, clean (mostly) casino, friendly dealers, great blackjack rules, cheap eats...

Yes, exactly there. The north side of Flamingo. But I agree with the previous poster--you should just go to Ellis Island.

I was at the Hooters Casino last December. They do have $3 BJ all the time, but in addition to the things mentioned above, it pays 6:5 for BJ.

JUST SAY NO TO 6:5 BJ!!!!!!!!!:nono:

I'm not sure I understand your question.

I stayed at Bally's in December. Su-Th stay. This are the minimums and rules I saw then:

Bally's: $10 minimum on at least one table, except Wednesday night when it went up to $15 for some reason. Multideck shoe. 3/2 blackjacks. Surrender available. Typical Bally's vibe of midwestern low- to mid-rollers (like myself).

Westin (5 minutes east-northeast of Bally's on Flamingo): $3 minimum from 11a-5p, $5 other times. Multideck shoe. 3/2 blackjacks. No surrender. Zero vibe, corporate-type hotel, but not unpleasant.

Ellis Island (8-10 minutes east of Bally's on Koval--you should go, especially if you are staying at Bally's): $5 minimum at all times. Multideck shoe. 3/2 blackjacks. Surrender available. Locals joint; also has full-pay video poker at the 25 cent level. Delicious $8.99 steak special which includes a beer, to boot...

I think they still have $3 blackjack at Hooters but it is only one table and it is very difficult to even get a seat.

How's the walk to Ellis Island from the strip? How long is it and how safe would it be to walk from the Miracle Mile Shops (looking to head over after dinner one night).
