Now that Bill's and O'Shea's are both closed, the number of $5 tables on the strip is dropping significantly.

Last year I got off the strip and hit a couple of the station casinos for craps and had a good time on those tables.

But if I'm stuck on the strip and I want a cheap craps game, what are the options these days besides Casino Royale?

Monte Carlo and NYNY have $5 craps at noon, right after the craps lesson.

For a five buck game, I like Monte Carlo. You can even find a $5 game at Cosmo on some weekday mornings. But I think they bump it up as soon as they get a few players

You can actually find $5 craps at many places on the strip. I think we had a pretty good list in a thread about 6 months ago. Anyway, Harrah's, Quad, Bally's, Trop, Excal, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Riviera, Circus Circus all come to mind that you can usually find a $5 table at sometime during the day. The low to mid tiers will most likely have one at some point during the day. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding where they put it. Much easier to find one on a weekday during daylight hours, I'll grant you that. They are there, it's just a matter of looking a little closer at all the tables scattered around the casino floor.

I played at O'sheas a few weeks ago at their table. It was $5 up until about 10-11PM on a weekday, then the pit announced it was going up to $10 and no one was grandfathered in. I took my winnings and found something better to do.

They also had a $5 and $10 table inside The Quad, but it was hard to get on the $5 one. It took awhile to squeeze in at O'sheas too.

I went to MC last weekend while I was there. I did not think I would like the front renovations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The trees were a nice touch

Thought I would take advantage of that back in Feb when I went down to get some coffee. $5 pass with max odds.....that turned into a $200 coffee and biscotti. There's only so many PSO a man can take no matter how low the stakes.

and the waitresses are hotter then in most casinos.

when we been to vegas for the pacman bradley fight 2, i was looking for a cheap craps table directly after the fight and the monte carlo had 2 $5 tables open. however, on monday and tuesday they had no $5 table after 22pm. :grrr:
    reason could be spring break.
margaritaville and casino royal had cheap tables open all the time.
i also checked excalibur on that monday and they had only a $10 table open.
bellagio had $10 tables open whenever i checked.

Monte Carlo is only $5 if there is only like five people playing. Once it gets more than that, they hit the button to bump the sign to $10.
