    My Trip Report

So as many of you know, i recently was employed at a job I've been wanting to get for 12 years...SOO, in order to celebrate it, we waited for a 3-day weekend to make the trek down to VEGAS!!

For starters, this trip is consisting of decent comps...
3 nights free at MainStreetStation + $80 worth of food (four $20 vouchers) AND 10x points. Throw in a MyVegas NyNy RollerCoaster Ride, and we're set!

The bankroll is only $400, but were only planning on playing Friday & Saturday. (won't get there until 1am Friday, and were leaving Sunday afternoon)

The only real plans are to ride the rollercoaster and get my wife one of those spraypaint mural thingies (FSE guy that does it)
Ohh yeah, and win a shit load of money, hahaha.
Without further ado, lets get this report started!

    5'o'clock couldn't come soon enough!
Had my computer shutting down at 4:55, so I could go grab my lunchpale and be at the door at 5pm! Lol
Kris was waiting for me in our rental ($49 for four days; '13 Chevy Cruze)
I jumped in the car and changed into pj's (out of my slacks and dress shirt)
    Told her HIT THE ROAD!!
She's driving the first leg, from Modesto -> Bakersfield, then I'll take it from there...
We pulled over in Tulare to grab MickeyD's and bathroom.
Figure we should hit Bako by 9, and hopefully Vegas at 1!

Safe travels! If the flight is on time, I should be downtown by 7pm on Friday. Can't wait to belly up to the bar to play VP while drinking a cold one.

Would the $400 bankroll be considered a lowplay by DT standards? I've never gone downtown for more than a day.

    Good luck! And safe travels.

My wife and I had Tony Vegas do a couple of the spray paint murals/paintings for us last year. Pretty cool standing and watching him work.

Well, already off to a bad start...
So we landed here in Vegas at 12:45...got into MSS and notice they have a new sign stating that the "incidental hold" is now $100, rather than $50 (we had put $55 in each bank to cover that)
So now, we had to put both reservations on the same card, therefore locking up $200...OR SO WE THOUGHT...we got to the room and looked at the bank...one charge $100...the other $238.82...WTF?!?
Called down to the desk, they said billing must have gotten screwed up and charged for the room rather than it being comped...FUCKING GREAT!
So where I had expected to only lock up $100, I've now locked up $330!
There goes $200 of the $400 bankroll!
What pisses me off is this isn't the first time they've screwed up in the billing dept! (last time they charged $42 on a comped room, and it took them two weeks to put it back!! Actually, one...but the FIRST person fucked up and never actually put it back.)

SO, I'm just hoping to win tommorow, so I can have money to play on.

And to all the naysayers who say I shouldn't come to Vegas unless I've got a ton of money...kick rocks.:rolleyes2:

Oh man, that sucks. Hopefully you can win a bunch, and just spend theirs all weekend. Good luck.

Haha, I love the expression "kick rocks" :evillaugh
One easy way to avoid all of this is just reserve on a credit card, so that it never ties up your bank funds, and if there is any issue with billing disputes, you just challenge the charge with your credit card company, and they go to work for you if they need to.
Here's to hoping you hit em for $200 the first night so it isn't an issue!

    First Friday update:
Wife and I went down and had the MSS breakfast buffet ($14 worth of points)
Afterwards, we went and spoke with Brenda at the club desk...she ASSURED us that it WASNT a charge, but the computer got wonky when we used the same debit card for both deposits (it charged the room rate as a deposit to the second one)
SO, that's resolved, but still, kinda hurts the bankroll...
Gonna go down and play a bit of vP here at MSS, then catch the WAX up to the strip and go ride the NyNy Rollercoaster, then get some yards from Fat Tuesday and walk through CityCenter, Bellagio, and PHo...
    Here's to the first Royal!!!

Yeesh that's rough with the random room charge. I could blow through $200 in 5 minutes with a bad streak at video poker.

    So a quick update...
    Dropped $100 at MSS JoB @ Boars Head....well, I DID...wife didn't lose a dime, lol
Went over to The D and lost $50 at UTH, then the other $50 at FreeBet BJ.
Got $100 more (luckily) to try and run back up to $300 here at MSS...
    Needing a royal am I!!

Can you have them put the hold on your credit card to free up funds at the bank???

    Friday night update:
Well, my last $100 lasted me pretty good...we played dice at MSS for a few hours...lost $50, but scored a brunch buffet comp (for 2; $22 value)
Were eating dinner at Pasta Pirate right now, then we'll probably play a little more Video Poker at MSS (for 10x points), see if we can't get back to $100 (to go back to dice, lol)

Well, that $40 didn't last long...about 10 minutes at 25c JoB, and that was that...
So, $360 gone in a flash playing 25c JoB with a little table games ($100 lost on tables)
Kris and I walked down FSE looking at the lights and stuff...
Tommorow is a NO GAMBLING day..we're gonna walk the strip and ride the rollercoaster.
    Woot Woot!
