Hi Everyone. Sorry if I am asking a question that may have been asked before but I will be visiting Vegas for the first time on October 30th for my birthday celebration. I will be staying at the MGM Signature. Has anyone ever stayed there before and if you have how was your experience? Also I have booked a deluxe room when I check in at the airport, can I ask if they have any complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom suite?

Stayed there last Jan and going back this Jan, Loved The Signature, Very clean, big rooms, full kitchen weather you use it or not and Jacuzzi tub. Its a bit of a walk from the strip but not really that bad, just walk through the MGM and through tunnels to it and not bad at all.

Last time I booked for the basic room and they gave me a balcony room with out asking, really nice quiet place. 10 out of 10

As of OCT 1 you will not be able to check in at Baggage Claim at McCarran anymore, unfortunately....but I don't see how you could get an upgrade checking in there, anyway.

To me, The Signature has taken over the Vdara as the best bang for your buck property. They have some pretty amazing rates for the rooms they provide.

Tell them it's your Birthday celebratory weekend and I'm sure they'll hook you up. I assume the rates are so good there because they have plenty of rooms to spare.

Have only stayed in their 1 BR Balcony room (twice...but staying there for a night in four weeks) and it's outstanding. 1000 square feet, full kitchen (with pots, pans, glasses, utensils), large living room, large bedroom, and very nice bathroom.

You could be doing much worse than this place.

If they don't upgrade you (but I'm pretty confident they will)...just ask to stay in Tower 1 as it's the closest tower to the MGM and monorail.

    Have fun.

If you stay in Tower 3 you are closest to Center Strip. Straight out to Harmon Avenue and then to Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, Cosmo etc. Also Ellis Island is not far either from the Tower 3 exit for cheap, good food and gambling. Tower 1 if you want to spend a lot of time in MGM and around there, Tower 3 to be closer to everything else.

Stayed at the Signature 4 times for work last year, and once a few years ago for fun.

I always have enjoyed my time there. The rooms are wonderful, it's very quiet hotel and location, MGM Grand and all of its amenities are about a 5 minute walk away, and if you're in tower 3, the rest of the strip is about a 7 minute walk up Harmon ave.

Not sure about what your upgrade chances are, but IMHO there aren't drastic differences between rooms, except for some having balconies.

It's not as close to the strip as I'd have liked but when I stayed there last October I loved it. By far the best room I've had in Vegas, great that it has a cooking area, fridge, etc. I was in Tower 3, which made the walk better to the Planet Hollywood area. I'd stay there again for sure. Price was lower than most of the strip hotels as well.

In terms of upgrades I think your chances are not real good.

My sister stays at the Signature every year for over a week and loves it.
The rooms are spacious and the pools are nice and quiet.

My only concern is if you plan on spending a lot of time in the casino the walk will definitely get old.
Part of the walk is moving walkways but it is definitely a hike.

Great property! My wife and I have stayed in both the one bedroom and the junior one bedroom. I really liked the spaciousness of the one bedroom as you can close the door off to the bedroom and have a lot more quiet if you're interested in sleeping in or taking a nap. The full sized one bedroom also offers a shower in the front room bathroom. If you have a car, and your planning on some late nights, the Tower 3 valet closes earlier and you'll have to use one of the other Towers valet. Absolutely agree with previous posts about this being a great hotel for the money.

I have stayed at the Signature 6 or 7 times and will be returning mid-October. It's quiet and yes it's a long walk but comfortable walk with people movers for most of it. It's all non-smoking too. What I love most is the people. The entire staff is just great (check-in, concierge, maids etc).

The Signature Lounge is a great place to meet new people as many of them are full-time residents in the condos. The bar tenders are outstanding. The food in the lounge is first rate too. The menu is the same as the in-suite but obviously cheaper. There is also a "Gourmet Delicatessen" called Delights that serves light food, sandwiches and a pretty good breakfast menu. Check out the web site and download the menus for the lounge and Delights.

I've reserved though MGM, Smartervegas, Lasvegassuites.com (FKA as Bluechip), and VRBO. All will work but only if you direct booking via MGM/Signature or Smartervegas will they allow you to upgrade.

    Enjoy your stay.

Can food/drinks be covered via Express Comps at Signature Lounge?

My first hotel/stay in my first visit to Vegas which was in Oct. 2007.

    Pros:
    Big Room
    Big Bathroom
    Very nice decor
Very quiet and out of the way

    Cons:
Long ass walk from MGM Grand to your room. Given how big MGM Grand is, it is a pain in the butt to walk all that distance. Especially if you are tired and really want to head to your room to rest.

The entrance/exit is very out of the way too. I remember you have to walk a pretty long path before you hit the Strip.

i've already made reservation months ago and will stay there next month if no other exciting rates show up within the next few weeks. one stupid question, though. i know there are three towers. should i simply go to any one of them and check in? if there are three check in counters and let's say if i want to stay at tower 3, will it make any difference if i go check in at tower 1 or 2 ? thank you in advance .

I am staying at the Sig in tower two. I don't have a balcony but some do.

They have a two small gyms which are decent. 4 free washing machines and dryers per tower. Valet is a little slow. It is a 6 minute walk @3mph to get from the elevators in tower 2, to the entrance of the casino. Or a 9 min walk to get to self parking, which is quicker than waiting for valet. I am walking at least 5 miles a day.

The furnishings in the room look like new. Lots of draws to store your stuff. Nice view if you are facing the strip. Very nice bathroom with a jacuzzi. One smallish LCD TV with below average reception. The free internet is very slow.

Last year I stayed for three months at the Palms Place. They are about the same price. The cheaper rooms there don't have a jacuzzi or a balcony.

The Palms Place rooms are 100 sq bigger. The parking situation is much better. Covered self parking is right by the elevators. Traffic situation as you exit hotel is better. Much faster internet. Two big LCD TVs with a better signal. If you face the strip, it has a nice view. Good inexpensive restaurants right next door in the strip mall.

The negatives of the Palms Place: Way less storage. Furnishings aren't as nice, new, or as functional. Bathroom isn't as nice. And you have to pay for the gym but not the cardio room. There is a laundromat a half a block away.

If it was my first time to Las Vegas, I'd take the MGM Sig. If I was here for business and I didn't want the casino experience, I'd take the Palms Place.

You can't lose either way. Both are a good value.

I rented straight from an owner. I didn't even check in. I went straight to my room after meeting him at the valet.

If you are renting from the Hotel, I would think you would have to go to the tower you are staying in, to check in. Call whoever made your reservations and ask them which tower you are in.

Thanks to all who replied. If I don't get the upgrade, I will be okay with it as I heard the deluxe room isn't bad. The only time I see going to MGM Grand is when we see the KA show but other than that we are planning to tour the strip. According to some of the replies, I guess tower 3 would be better to stay in if you want to be near the strip. We also plan to hit Walgreens for water and snacks. Does anyone know if there is a grocery or supermarket nearby?

I called directly to MGM and booked. I also only got a confirmation email. LoL, I know what you mean. As the date comes closer for me to leave, I plan to call them to make sure everything is okay.

I forgot to ask this but does the MGM Signature put a hold on your card when you arrive? If so how much? Is it $50 or $100 a night?
