Definitely a good place for the value. Rooms are clean and comfortable, I would try to work them for one of their "Luxury" rooms. They are renovated, have tv's in the bathroom and flat screens/coffee maker in bathroom.

You have carnival court right outside. The piano bar which is a ton of fun when the blonde twins are manning them. Toby Keith's Bar and Grill can be a fun spot if there is a crowd there.

KGB Burgers are great. The family burger experts gave them an A+! You are in a great spot on the strip. Close to everything. Explore and have a ball!!

Alright great yes I'm sure most of our meals will be quick cheap things for the most part not to picky of an eater and I'll try for the room upgrade but I'm a person who doesn't spend much time in the room but always a plus to have a nice room! How's the range steakhouse or should I look for another steakhouse option

The reason I LIKE Harrahs is because for me its right near alot of stuff

Bellagio, Caesards, Mirage, Venetiian. Pla... Flamingo, Ballys, Paris, Wynn, TI plus more hotels....

If i want to goto MGM which I do, i just hop on the little metro and hit up all those places down there....

The Range is just great-fantastic food-and I stay at HARRAHS for about 4 nights each trip as I really enjoy it and just feel very comfortable there also usually stay at Bellagio the last 3 nights so best of both worlds in my mind.
I think you will enjoy Harrahs and will have a great time

We ate at the Range a couple weeks ago for the first time and loved it. Good food, good atmosphere, great service.

We really enjoyed our stay at Harrah's and got upgraded to a Petitie Suite for a $20 tip at check in - no TV in the bathroom but tons of space. We would stay at Harrah's again.

Harrah's is in my top 3 hotels on the strip for value, location and just plain fun.

Carnival Court: Excellent mid-day thru evening and even late night fun. Great live bands, fun bartenders and just a good party atmosphere.

Range Great food, better atmosphere, one of the few nice restaurants on the strip where you can actually have a strip view.

Toby Keiths Free live bands every night, great food and I have met more friendly people here drinking than anywhere else in LV.

Dueling Piano Bar Favorite Piano Bar in LV, just a great time and lots of excitement. On the last trip saw a 60 something year old lady get thrown out after flashing 3x from the stage, not something anyone wanted to see, but made for a great story later!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, thought the beds were a step above Ballys and I had a Jr. Suite on the Diamond floor at Ballys. I would stay at Harrahs more often if their pool had a better party atmosphere.

Everything about Harrah's is middle of the road and good value, except its location, which is top notch. You are a close walk to a lot of interesting sights, and there is a monorail stop there if you want to save the walk and go way south/north.

The rooms are by no means high end, but well maintained and comfortable.

I've heard the pool is pretty bad, but have only visited in Dec, so never saw it.

There are tons of options for food in the area. The buffet at Harrah's is solidly middle of the pack, with particularly good dessert options. And its often not that hard to find $5off or 2-for-1 coupons for it.

The cafe is a typical casino cafe.

In back there is Toby Keith's, which has surprisingly good food at decent value, and solid beer selection.

The Range Steakhouse always gets good reviews.

Its worth noting that Harrahs is also a short walk to a number of other quick eats style options (Denny's, McDonalds, Chipotle, Subway all near casino royale).

FWIW, I have never stayed at Harrah's, but your review was very consistent with everything I've heard about it. And beyond that, a matter of taste.

Did you just ask for a complimentary upgrade and slip the 20?

We'll have to try the $20 trick and see if we can get an upgrade. Worked at IP last time.

paperposter...was there April 29-May3....heard NO noise at all. The linq mess will be a pain for those staying at the IP...but as of my dates it did not interfere with staying at Harrahs at all. Of course as they move along to the next segment of their project who knows. The front of IP is either coming down or getting rearranged so no idea if there will be noise then.
