Since a flight to Vegas is as much as I budget per night for an AC trip, I've been religious about checking the CET website for any updates. As many of you AC loyalists may know, CET is investing 400MM into refreshing their hotels over the next 3 years. As part of that update, NOBU will be opening up at Caesar's AC.

Now, I understand that Nobu is a chain and it's not that greatest in the world, BUT it is a welcome addition to Caesar's -- which lacks restaurants ever since everything at the mall closed -- Buddakan was my favorite restaurant in all of AC, and I've tried almost all of the top rated ones.

With that, I'm hoping to see if any of the wizards in this forum have info on the latest developments specific to CET. Has anyone gone by Caesar's to see where these new venues will reside? During my last trip to AC, I didn't see any progress on construction at Harrah's, other than remodeled Waterfront rooms.

Also, wanted to use this thread to gauge interest in an AC trip June 17th weekend. Tagging all local members to gauge interest:

    @EzE @EastCoastVegasFan! @Flowers @alexm @sinnerman @STPFan @Happygirl21 @hammie @thegov2k2 @Here2Learn @Hogman (I know you'll be in town in June) @smerrian @certan @HardEight44 @Dms79 @zoobrew @Mrstockfool @lithium78 @Brandt

Please tag anyone I may have missed!

The Centurion and Ocean towers were remodeled. No word on Nobu.

What I was told is as follows:

Nobu Restaurant is going to be where the old Laurel Lounge was (Near the VP Area 2nd floor and just before the stairs up to Nero's/7 Stars Lounge.).
Hells Kitchen will be downstairs near where the bar(Currently its all walled off. More than half the smoking slots area is not there now. Where the Munchkinland slots were all the way over to just before the VP area.).
Starbucks will be going in somewhere around there too.
I've been given 2 answers for where the Nobu Hotel rooms will be: Either Forum North Tower, or Ocean Tower(more likely since they seem to be lacking availability for these rooms atm).

Bottom Floor is kind of a mess atm with all the construction walls, and if you're a smoker, not many slots to play.
They were short staffed this past weekend in the Salon. Door was open, but no one other than front desk person there.
They ran out of my brand of smokes in the gifts shops too.

The Seven Stars Lounge now opens at 10AM - Noon on Sundays for Breakfast (Nero's no longer does breakfast).

Also, IMHO Nobu is just overpriced small plates that are nothing really special. Sushi is decent and if they do Teppanyaki (Hibachi) then that is good.

Hell's Kitchen is the last remaining GR to not let me down yet. All the others are nowhere near as good as they used to be.

They REALLY need a nice affordable lunch place to open in Caesars, not more overpriced gimmicks. Don't get me wrong here. I understand its Caesars and they need high end restaurants which I have no issue paying that much if its worth it, but these 2 are just names, and no longer trend setter places.

On cheaper food, don't they have AC Snack Shack, the pizza shop, Kwi Noodles, and the Pub? The pub actually has a decent lunch menu. I will agree that the food options aren't the greatest when you're looking for something casual during lunch time.

Then, on the location of Nobu, where's the new Laurel Lounge? The old lounge at Caesar's was one of the best places to go to!

Pizza Place closed for a while now.
New Laurel Lounge is where the Pizza Place used to be on 3rd floor.
GR Pub is horrible, and still overpriced. Its been bad for a while now.
Only so much Noodles and Lettuce Wraps one person can eat.
Snack Shack is in WWW and not worth the long walk. If Guys BBQ was still open then I'd make that walk.

Oh and they weren't making you spin through $5 to order from the drink system at Caesars. Lower level is still on total touch, 2nd floor is BOSS now, but doesn't require $5 played to activate drinks button like Harrah's or Trop.

I’m not part of the AC enthusiasts group tagged above but I was at Caesars AC last Friday and the only update(s) of sorts would be the substantially walled off area near the tables on the bottom floor, as well as a sign near the garage entrance indicating a new Gordon Ramsay restaurant was coming “Summer 2022”.

Thanks for the update! I knew I was forgetting someone. Are you around June 17th weekend?

I work Fridays and Saturdays and afternoon/evening hours so my availability is practically nil. If the Rangers are still alive in the playoffs and playing Sunday the 19th, I might be able to talk my wife into going. We'll see as it gets closer.

The new Ocean suites are some of the nicest I stayed in in a cet property period. Maybe if I have a moment I'll take some pics and post.

Actually, the pizza place is still open. It's in the location where the buffet used to be. The new laural lounge is around the corner

Check out Carluccio’s at Bally’s. The original location is on the mainland in Northfield, NJ, this location is a little pricier, but the quality is pretty good. Their Grandma Pie is good.

If anyone's looking for a good place to use CET credits in AC, I think the best option is currently Gordon Ramsey Steak at Harrah's. Obviously it's a little less convenient given you have to go to the Marina area, but I went there for the first time on my last trip in June and came away much more impressed than I expected to be. The steaks were just really, really good, as were the cocktails we ordered, and our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu as well. The prices are pretty insane, even for a casino steakhouse, so I definitely wouldn't come here to spend cash alone. But for a place in AC to use a Diamond dining credit (or 7 Stars if you're really fancy I guess!) along with any other comps, it's probably your best bet.

I'm very much looking forward to the opening of Nobu in Caesars though as a second option, because right now I don't think I would consider any of the options at Caesars or Tropicana as good ones. As someone else noted earlier in the thread, Gordon Ramsey Pub is pretty bad in addition to also being overpriced (if you're gonna be expensive, at least be good!). Not sure what to make of Hell's Kitchen also opening at Caesars- I'm not a fan of the show so that part of it doesn't do much for me, but maybe the food will be more like Gordon Ramsey Steak than Pub. One can hope.

I didn't even want good, I was just happy the pizza place was open again and wanted something quick. Yes, I am that slob eating a slice of pizza while playing that slot machine. What's the point of their only affordable should be fast option if it takes an hr to get a slice at a place with 'by the slice' advertised.

I had Carluccio's a couple of weeks ago, and it was pretty good. The pizza joints on the boardwalk are also pretty good, and open very late. Of course, you have to pay cash/credit for the pizza instead of points since they are not associated with any casino. I usually get a slice for my late night walk from hardrock to Caesars or the trop

If you make it up to Ocean, Rocco's makes a very good slice.

I barely set foot in Caesars anymore, 6/5 JOB at the Toga Bar and no more draft beer. I stopped at the Boardwalk Bar on a weekend, the one next to the stage in Wild Wild West. There were three bartenders and two customers and I sat for several minutes waiting for service. I don't understand why they closed Cafe Roma either, that place seemed to always be busy whenever I went.

When I want to grab a slice, I shop with my eyes.
