I'll be there at the same time, in late February, so hope to meet up again!

    All beautiful things. :)

I need to restart reading your trip report from the very beginning but I think it's awesome how much you've seen and done, in a pretty chill way, in a month. I'm envious. I spent an entire month in Vegas in the summer of 2008 as part of a cross country driving tour. I actually had my own car with me. I moved around a lot for comped rooms and was between two modest-paying jobs so didn't have a lot of resources, but I had a wonderful time.

I have to catch up on yours as well, plus last January's Dollar Storm win!

I've always wanted to do a cross-country trip, staying at each CET property along the way.

Couldn’t find a host on duty so just did fast food.

GVR is fine on food choices, but the whole casino is just so dark.

I do like how they decorated the food court to look like an Italian villa.

They also have a Baskin-Robbins, but maybe I’ll abstain from all ice cream until a royal.

Fatburger now has vegan shakes… does that count as ice cream?

Seems so long ago now and hard to believe it’s this same TR, but earlier at the Venetian NYE tourney, they offered a gift that they would ship.

We had Christmas dinner at my aunt’s place and she had three different kinds of cheeses on her charcuterie board, along with dates, grapes, and prosciutto.

Naturally when Venetian offered a charcuterie board as a gift, I thought of her. She just received it and sent a photo.
    2815A7AF-CFBB-4BA5-A6F7-E08FEF06EF0D.jpeg

She said, “Does this mean I have to serve brie?”

I said I’m expecting lots of cheese to fill the board. But also that it could double as a surf board.

Not trying to get off topic and into financial advice but Netflix's 52wk high is 700, and now below 400? If there has been a bigger item flashing buy in the last several months, I've not seen it lol. I hate purchasing individual stocks as it's not a financially savvy move and makes risk hedging nearly impossible, but this, at least from my vantagepoint, bucks the trend. Nasdaq is moving further into correction mode, I'm picking up semiconductors and others like no tomorrow. For someone who only really gives a shit about the end of December (when dividends for mutual fund/brokerage accounts pay out), this has been, again for me at least, an awesome week to buy, buy, buy (save for crypto which is getting slaughtered with no end in sight lol).

Anyway, loving the TR, keep this awesomeness coming!

That's very nice looking! I had mine shipped to my parents' home as I wasn't sure when it would arrive. I ordered the same.

Good for you. I am relatively late in the game of buying individual stocks -- just started a few years ago -- and I tend to buy and hold though I sold a couple of stocks (a bit too early but still made a nice profit) last year. Wish I could buy now but I will be much more flush in a few weeks. It's so brutal but I never forget my financial advisor telling me the best time to buy is when there is "blood in the streets." But makes sense! Just a more, um, descriptive way of saying buy when the market/stocks are down; don't be afraid. I know that's basic advice but it takes practice to feel comfortable doing it.

Agreed wholeheartedly, and definitely not financial advice -- but definitely a great time to buy, if not for the dang gambling taking up all excess funds!

Guys, I must confess: I canceled my Netflix subscription last week so obviously I am the root cause of all of this. Please accept my apologies.

One thing I haven’t done is crash a Vegas wedding (I’ve crashed a wedding before but not in Vegas). I’d wear a suit and tie and bring a gift, even if the gift happens to be a set of bath mats with the Station Casinos logo.

Better to do it at Bellagio or Wynn, since GVR is likely just a local wedding and the reception won’t be as nice.

Penny Benny. Have a walk to the bank ahead of me so I’m a ticking time bomb before needing a restroom stop.

This cubbyhole is my favorite place to wait post-checkout at GVR. It’s tucked away from the main thoroughfare, there’s an AC outlet for my laptop, you can look outside, and it’s next to the bar.

Had a nice chat with a Lyft driver in a spiffy Lexus ES Hybrid for the low low cost of $14.16 from GVR to Virgin, using the wait up to 15 minute option to save $1.86. Ended up being 5 minutes.

Checked in early to my Virgin room. Went with a Canyon room because I’m on the slot tourney offer and the Ruby Suites weren’t available for that. I could’ve tried for an upgrade at the desk, but figured I can show you guys a different room.

I booked a Ruby suite for a friend next month, so more reason not to play.

There’s no door to the bathroom but there’s a door closing off the bedroom from the foyer/bathroom area. I think they call it a French door concept. There is a door to the toilet/shower, however.

In the Ruby suite, the glass wall to the bathroom was transparent. Cosmo did this when they opened but then tinted the windows on the remodel.

Virgin has this bed type patented. I guess that’s the immovable thing in the corner.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t switch Virgin to this weekend so that I could use its Google Chromecast and watch the next half season of Ozark.

Would’ve been a great pool view if opened. Looks great with the sand. And people.

When I was at Virgin in October the pool was very well heated, so I'm disappointed that they decided to close it seasonally-- it must have everything to do with expected traffic and nothing to do with temperature.

Wow, that pool is pretty cool. Thanks for the pictures of Virgin. How busy is it?
