That steak does look tough to me. And I see that they don't fluff up the potato for you, but I don't really care for baked potatoes anyway. I like them as French fries, hash browns, or mashed. As for the steak, it's fine for such a good deal, but Vegas is really the only time I really have steak, and I want a medium-rare prime ribeye, filet mignon, or porterhouse dripping with liquefied fat from the marbling.

    Oct 3, Sunday.

Wallet is at +$4,700. Can't argue with that!
Wait. Evidently, you can. I got drunk as I played until 2:00 am last night and had a fit at the craps table. My passive-aggressive nature came out. I'm usually such an easy going guy. Hopefully I'm not banned from play at Bally's but I'll find out later.

    Story:
The shooter next to me, instead of rolling the dice just literally pops them up from his hand like an electronic craps game. The dice go about a foot into the air and land in the Come, they don't even get to the stick person much less down the table. They land on 7 and the dealer calls it and the table is cleared. I lose about $150. I'm livid.
The table is screaming at the pit guy (who wasn't there, also no box man at CET games)... I'm leading the charge.
Next is my roll. I'm still yelling. "You mean that's good? I can just pop the dice and that's a good roll?" I pop the dice and they let the roll stand (to show consistency) I pop the dice again. I get warned they'll pass the dice to another player if I do it again. I pop them again and they pass my dice.
Only 2 players stayed after that call so the dice get back to me relatively quickly. I smack my roll like a pitcher in cricket would...one bounce and they go flying off into a crowded Saturday night of people. I'm given new dice. I do it again and when the pit guy that has to run across the casino and search for these dice heads out I taunt him. "Yeah, fetch! Go fetch!" The roll is taken away from me. Well, duh!
But they're typing into their keypad as I leave the table (+$50). Wondering how much damage they could have done to me on that keypad.

Dinner tonight at Bardot. I loved their happy hour and I think I'm going to just sit at the bar. Already know what I'm ordering: Steak Tartar and Foie Gras...with a nice Chianti., Lol.
    .
    Tomorrow is the G2E.

I have seen a little bit of this myself where a judgement call that benefits the house is made one way but could easily have been made the other way. The specific situations I am thinking about involve leaning dice, like where one is positioned up against the wall or a stack of chips. I am not full-on conspiracy theorist (CT) about this but the inconsistency is what leads to the critique on my part. In your case, I would be full on CT and feel that had a point been made from that roll, it would have been a no-roll.

There is no way I stay at that table after a roll like that is allowed. I might never set foot in that casino ever again, if I'm being honest.

There are many unattributed tales of Vegas behavior . This description of your actions - yelling FETCH- has me LOL. I can relate. I'm glad I know this really happened and I met the guy who did it.

I've never been in Ballys. But if I walk through there any time soon, I'm yelling "Fetch!" as I walk past the Craps area.

Eager to read about Bardot. When I had brunch there earlier this year, they told me Happy Hour was discontinued. Glad to learn it's returned.

This is nuts... am I wrong to assume that rules of the game say die have to hit opposite wall? Have I just assumed this all along? Yeah I would have been livid as well

Given that I know you this is surprising to me, I’m normally more of the bombastic one and you’re the calm one lol.

That being said, the gambling gods are on your side which is great to see, keep kicking ass my friend!

Wow, the popping story sounds like one that would happen in AC! Did the guy who originally had the weak roll stay, and, if so, what was his reaction after you started to mock his roll? Or did he leave when the table got pissed? I would imagine a lot of ire would've been directed at him.

Today Sunday, was a botched day. Gambling was all losses. -$600 at VP (9/6 downtown), -$600 craps at Plaza, -600 craps at Circa. Decided that's 2 days of losses.

Back at the room at 3:00 with Bardot tonight. I cancelled ressy because I enjoyed the bar so much there. Fell asleep and missed HH.

Alternate plans. Tomorrow I was to retry Amalfi. Well, that's tonight. Had the Octopus again... grilled with that burnt orange sauce was just a must do. I found out my dining encounter didn't know what she was eating. She told me the wrong name of her dish. Tonight I had the paccheri... excellent, though not 'the best pasta dish I ever ate'. Having rockfish in it did make for a more solid main course.

    Great fish, great pasta.

I've been chastised for tossing the dice too high and for having only one die hit the back wall. But this … what the hell?

They are supposed to, and they can rule a "no roll" if they do not, but it's not a strict requirement for a roll to count. As long as the dice tumble enough for the craps crew running the game, the roll will count.

I'm sure it was frustrating for the players at the table. But as long as the roll would have counted for any number, then I'm fine with the roll counting and him being chastised for not hitting the back wall.

And I never expected a craps roll being compared to bowling a cricket ball. Haha

Good start @smerrian! Keep the wins coming!

The guy stayed along with me and one other guy. The other 5 left.
He didn't even 'roll' the dice. Just kind of leaned over from his end-of-table position and popped them straight up. I've never seen anything like it in 30 years of playing craps. He joined me in pushing that the dice didn't leave his hands like he meant them to.

I always shout "no roll" when the dice don't make the wall and the 7 out is called valid, which is always.
IME a hot roller with a table pressing bets up gets maybe 3 warnings and after, if either die doesn't make it to the wall, he's banned from rolling for the night.
I've seen it thrice, once to me.

all short 7s usually count, funny how they let you do one popup throw.

:eek:the guy must have learned everything he knows from bubble craps..
