Funny story, for some stupid reason I yelled “momma!” when it hit!

My mom and aunt (her bff and Vegas buddy) left us a few years back. Maybe it was that stupid leaf.

So i’m closer to ”about even” than I was yesterday when juked you guys into thinking I was “about even”. Did anyone believe me yesterday? Anyone?

Looks like they don't want me in there on a Friday night grinding away on their good VP.

 

Forgot to mention, while the myVegas monorail passes are BOGO, you can use them as a single traveler or with an odd numbered amount of people. Bought the 4 day BOGO for wife and son (daughter walked with her teammates). Bought the 2 day BOGO pass for me.

They issue paper passes so I just used one for the first 2 days and wrapped my receipt around the other until I needed it (too much crap in my wallet). @jpw711 taught me how to hack the BOGO as a single.

They start tolling their expiration when you use it the first time. The boothling told me unactivated cards are good for one year from purchase.

 

The mykonami run taught me things. I had never been to Aria before (seriously? yes I’m a creature of habit). I like the Aria vibe and will go back. Bellagio - been there before and still don’t care for it.

I always liked MGM, just couldn’t win there. Their machines are pretty old and some in bad shape.

Need to plan my run a little better. I think NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay would’ve been better but I had planned to do a CET diamond tier match so I wanted to stay on that end of the strip.

Tram situation was frustrating. I didn’t see the Mandalay tram running. Not sure about the Park MGM - Bellagio tram, but it was supposed to be running when I took that picture from yesterday.

I guess they give you a mandatory name tag to wear when you check in? Or are security guards waiting behind the potted plants to arrest you when you get off the lift?

 

Eating to excess at Aloha Specialties at the Cal
Saimin and locomoco. Son had saimin with vegetables and a spam musubi. Sooo good but couldn’t finish. Menu prices below. Wasn’t too crowded. But geez $25 for parking.

 

Just scare tactics

 

Napping at Westgate. Daughter’s team had the lead but lost. We’re playing for pride tomorrow.

I only did ~$1,000 in coin in yesterday and $16,000 total. I wanted to try do more yesterday but I’m stretching myself too thin with the north to south traveling and the tournament.

Having fun but legs are sore.

NYNY cage folks are so sweet. They told me “you look different…umm…muscular…yeah that’s it.”

Polite way to tell their frequent guest “you need to get off the couch and get your steps in.”

 

We have some team dinner tonight and I think I will go back to MGM tonight since it’s close to the monorail and has been treating me well.

I actually thought highly of the MGM cocktail service (just outside HL) as they seem to remember your order and bring it to you timely. Of course this is the guy who got drunk on 2 IPAs so small sample size.

 

You wait long enough and everything comes back in style. lol

The CW's do a good job in that area at MGM. A lot of the times, it's the same CW as in HL.
