A Trip for the Ages with My Mama and Friends in Las Vegas

Flowers, I'm still catching up (only two pages to go), but I just want to say this on behalf of VMB...

We absolutely can not wait for your BBQ party this summer. With all of these classes you've taken, there's bound to be some good food and drinks! You're an expert at everything! A MASTER!

Glad you were able to get dealt Aces on the RIGHT game! I'm still steaming about that a bit... And more importantly get a kicker on that 12X!

 

Nothing earth shattering in terms of VP hits at V/P but got a couple. But, still going back to Wynncore empty handed. Lol.

Played about 90 minutes but with a fair amount of coin in at 25 or 50 a hand. Finished here for the day but will play tomorrow and Monday before and/or after tournament play.

 

I was pretty thirsty and asked a slot attendant if he could send a CW over. He said they don't start full service until 11 am. WTF? I was cool but said I am playing $25 a hand and it is warm in here and I just want water. Wow. It is July 4th weekend. He then said something about there being just 2 people on the entire floor.

That is just crazy but he stepped up and asked me what I wanted. I said water and then coffee to wake up. Lol. He brought me back a Fiji and said he could not use the machine but I was near the HL room and he said there is a self serve coffee machine there. He volunteered to watch my machine while I went and got it. Nice machine and no snacks but I appreciated his great customer service and tipped accordingly. I got a very nice mocha.

As I like playing VP at this particular spot I will remember this hidden gem.

V/P really does have it going on in terms of restaurants at various price points and cuisine options as well as a good mix of casual restaurants.

They also do a good job advertising the restaurants. This would be a bit much for Wynncore but these boards are informative. And if you are here in July you should grab a half-priced cocktail from one of the specialty lounges, which I think are just awesome.

 

Headed back and going to enjoy brunch with my college BFF at TPC. She is not a gambler but we have had meals toget and attended O last night, will see Dave Chappelle tonight and BBQ and fireworks tomorrow. I told her what I'll make me happy is her nust getting rest and relaxing. If she wants to watch Law and Order all day in the room, fine by me! If she is happy and chill I am happy!

 

Um, I didn't know Wynn had it's own wine. Is this new? How did I know this??????????

 

So annoyed that neither I nor a VMBer (I don't think) won the 163k.

 

S'ok. I'll be perfectly happy to win 54k and change when I get there.

Is Amalfi even close to Costa Di Mare in terms of quality? I Have lots of TR $$$ so Amalfi would be cheaper (free), but want to have a nice Italian meal with my father, and your pictures really look phenomenal!

Should be napping but am playing at home base. Not going well paying different denoms and then this happens. Playing TDB. HOLD ONE ACE and FOUR 3S pop up with a 3x multiplier for 6k. I am winning the hard way but I will take it however it comes.



And my brother, @Champster1, texted me that the 163k Dollar Storm was won by a local at Rampart. I am literally half way through my trip. Here's to winning $160k in net VP wins!!!

Amalfi was wonderful. I am behind posting pics but I enjoyed my meal and service. Will post pics before I go to bed!

Costa is kinda of other worldly so it is an unfair comparison as even the setting alone is magical.

If I were you I would use my comp dollars ar Amalfi. Great meal and service. Easy peasy. Enjoy! And I promise pics to come. Behind posting lots of food pics!
