I’m not going to name the person for obvious reasons, but I think that have the most non responsive host that ever lived. I was assigned them toward toward the end of 2019. Since then, I have sent 3 or 4 emails, and left 4 or 5 voicemail messages. So far, they have a perfect record in that they have never returned a single one (none of these were sent while they were on furlough). Outside of a couple of form emails that asks me to book through them, there has been nothing but silence except for one weird thing. I have received a couple of calls from them, but they hang up after one or two rings before I can answer and they never leave a message. Once I called right back, and it just rang and went to their mailbox. Now, I’m not the biggest gambler in the world by far, but I generally put in a pretty even split between 1000 or 2500 TC days, so I’m not the smallest minnow either. I don’t really need a host, but it would be nice to have one if I wanted something out of the ordinary. I really want the divorce to be professional and amicable. What are your thoughts on how to proceed?

    Two things...
Before the divorce find a new boy/girlfriend to hook up with (unofficially). Word of mouth is your best bet.
Then, write a letter requesting the divorce and requesting the new spouse.

They allegedly are my host for all Vegas casinos.

Thanks for your message. I am generally not the cheating type. LOL. I really want it to be as face saving for them as possible. Not because they necessarily deserve it, but because I really don’t want anyone to get into trouble unless there is no other reasonable recourse.

Sounds like a middleman outside host. If that's the case, skip the middleman and call the hotel you are interested in and ask to speak to a host on duty.

I’m sorry, I misspoke. I meant to say, all CET casinos.

Just stop using the host. Sounds like you're not using them anyway. What out of the ordinary requests do you have that actually require a host?

Twice, I needed to ditch a CP host. I just stopped using them. Eventually, they left CET and I was finally assigned one I liked. Even then, I rarely used her because, frankly, CET hosts can't do much you can't otherwise do on your own unless you are a much, much bigger player than 2500 TC a day. The two times I used her for something was when I wanted an airfare reimbursement and another time when I needed three rooms comped upfront. She was very helpful in those instances. But still, that was two trips out of, probably, thirty trips to the property. All the others, I just booked my offers myself

A couple months ago, we got our first call from a host. My wife and I got excited, thinking we made it to the big time. Started walking around the house with a gold chain, and everything. A month later, we left a voicemail for her to reserve our June stay at Paris. She called us back the next day, and I guess everything was fine. When we realized the following week that we wanted to move our hotel to Caesars because the Feast the Empire restaurants we wanted to do was there, she said that we could only get Paris. Later, I checked online that we can book any day of the year at any hotel. We didn't want to hassle making any changes, but we decided that using a host to reserve things seemed more of a hassle.
If anyone can explain why we should still be using a host, let me know. Online reservations seems so much easier.

I've never used a host but it seems your host is the one being un-professional. You're being very nice about their terrible behavior. They don't deserve it.

Just move on. No formalities necessary.

I agree you should switch hosts, but I warn you that it is not always that easy to get rid of a CET host. In my limited experience the most efficient way to do so -- and make sure you get the host you deserve, is to identify a new host who has been recommended to you, then get guidance from the new host on how to best do so. BTW, do can you provide the title of the host you have? Hosts are all over the food chain and their title often indicates that.

It can be hard to “dump” a CET host. It almost feels like the existing host has to agree behind the scenes to let you go.

At some properties, you can just start using a different host and eventually that person will become your assigned host if you book through them a few times.

I have CET hosts on AC, Vegas, and NOLA. I don’t go to NOLA that often so I can’t say much about him. My Vegas host called me last week to check if I’m going soon and in general how I’m doing. My AC host also occasionally calls or texts me. Both of them have been my host for several years they know what I need (I don’t ask for much) except for an extra room when I go to Vegas. My Vegas host always takes me and any of my guests to lunch to Oyster Bar and picks up the tab. to I have lots of reward points so I don’t need much comped. I see them every trip when I go to Vegas or AC.
I think you need a new host.

That's it, I'm moving to Vegas and setting up a Host relationship counseling service. "And when he didn't call you back, how did that make you feel?" "When she no played her stay, how did that make you feel?" Easy money!

    :)

(Sorry, realize this is of no help whatsoever to the OP... move along)

Ha! Exactly. When host comes out with "It's not you, it's me" you know we're done

Never got anything out of hosts other than throwing in limo transport as part of the comp, and keeping me informed of slot tournaments I qualified for. I'm not the hosted-type player though, hit and run type, and I don't put in 4 hours a day (usually)

I remember reading CET hosts are hard to divorce. Might need to escalate up the chain to their supervisor and their supervisor's supervisor. Even then, maybe just book on your own or consider switching to mlife/Wynn/etc...

The low hanging fruit that a CET host provides me pretty much automatically is a late checkout (up to 3:00 PM) and reservations at fully booked restaurants. If you stick with a substandard non-responsive host, and book yourself, you wont get those.

Agree though I initially said "proceed" asap. I did dump a host a few years ago who should have been fired by CET but it's not my problem any more. The one I have now is not much better. Nice lady but I seem to know more than she does. She called me recently to see how I liked a particular CET restaurant experience. I told her I didn't have a chance to check it out. But, it was so odd that THAT was the basis for checking in.

I then asked for any information about the Seven Stars retreat in Vegas in August and all she could tell me was that there was going to be a drawing "because shows aren't back yet", which 100% isn't true. I asked if there would be RFB credit in lieu of a dinner and she had zero information. The whole conversation was so odd. I use her ONLY to book my Seven Stars retreat as a host has to do some special coding for that but as I don't plan to be Seven Stars after this year there's no reason at all to use her services.

ETA: I meant to say the Seven Stars Signature EVENT in August in Las Vegas.
