oh yeah gold strike (MGM) has a stupid policy where they have to let a room marinate for 24 hours before housekeeping can clean it. SO if you come on a Sunday after a big (worthless imo) promotion and all the suites are filled on Saturday. you are screwed if you want a suite. But the standard room is perfectly fine as long as you don't plan on a big splash with a sock and a random shoe on the desk.

 

also, let it be known, I offered to buy @martinr a meal, but he had to take his hound to the hairdresser.
