Back home to Laughlin, had a cigar on the veranda...very nice chill outside patio right off the floor, played some multistrike.

Back out on the veranda enjoying an Oliva series v torpedo

and some becks na. Crisp with a slightly sweet finish....Does actually taste like beer, always a plus for an NA... 3.5 belches

Sucking up the last warm before an early morning flight.

Dinner at the range next IMG_20210210_181339301.jpg IMG_20210210_181258550.jpg

Beck’s NA is my personal go-to as well :) just filled up my fridge the other day lol

Can’t wait for photos from Range! Any plans for “Hail Mary” wagers before the trip is out?

Clausthaler dry-hopped is my personal go-to NA.

NFC, I swore off "Hail Mary" wagers long ago... I had a year where 4 straight last days...last hours... had me leaving completely and utterly penniless doing chasing bullcrap. I have gotten at least a little wiser. Now I only do stupid gambling off the top... My general rule is no gambling after dinner on the last day at the casino, and I also never book a flight that leaves me "homeless" with a few hours after check-out with a gap when I have to go to the airport..... nothing ever goes well then.

    So, about dinner!!!

    Range Steakhouse, Harrah's Laughlin

    Bread is served with dinner..

Slider has been making a meal out of leftovers and came to the realization today, after he had a big breakfast at the Pyramid Cafe, that he had far too many leftovers..... I on the other hand, hadn't eaten at all today.

    Starters

Caesar Salad, nice served with optional anchovy (3 forks)

    IMG_20210210_195722757.jpg

    French Onion Soup

I thought this was quite nice, a hearty broth with ample number of onions...good balance of some but not too much bread, and cheese but not too much. Crispy fried onions on top I liked this a goodly bit. (4 spoons)

    IMG_20210210_195729252.jpg

Slider went with the Crab Cake Appetizer for a main... Two crabcakes slightly smaller than hockey pucks. Being from the east coast, we have a pretty good handle on them. Slider says he's had better in Baltimore.....but...coming from Easties...that's high praise... (4.2 spongebobs)

    IMG_20210210_202307678.jpg

My main, was shrimp scampi to do a comparison with the Riverside Gourmet room. This version was a little more lemony-wine-tarrgaon preparation, as opposed to the Riverside's butter wine garlic take. Six 8-12 count shrimp served with vegetables, and garlic toasts. I believe pasta might be an option as well if desired, I actually prefer the veggies....pasta shrimp scampi is almost always doomed to tough shrimp.

I will give the edge to the Riverside here..... but this was quite good. (4 spongebobs)

    IMG_20210210_202316110.jpg

Not pictured was a baked potato I ordered, which came with all the "loading" ingredients in their own ramekins so you could load as your little, hardened artery heart desired.

Our meal came to 88 bucks, which was a combination of paper comps and reward credits.

FWIW the Diamond Plus option at Harrah's Laughlin being sans Laurel Lounge pro tempore, is a $20 daily F&B voucher you can use anywhere on the property. That's one nice thing about this property...all the food outlets are 1-1 comps.

Trip recap..... all told, gambling was about $500 down.
Started with 2800 in my pocket, now have $2200ish, add back tips some cab fare I get to the $500 area.

The cost of the flights for me and @Slider and comps rooms/spa/food easily puts me in positive value for this trip.

Played two nice rounds of golf with good friend @Slider and had a nice chill time

Between last couple trips... gambling cash down about $600....over 12 nights in Nevada....plus back all the food/etc....sounds like winning to me!

I'll be back in 11 short days to the MGM Grand, where I have an Executive Suite Comped and plan to play a couple rounds of golf, gamble some at the D for sure, maybe a little bingo again, and try out some new restaurants which I haven't hit yet. If you'll be out in LV hit me up, I'm flying solo that trip.

Of course I'm available to answer any questions.

Our flight leaves Bullhead for PHL at like 6am so...... gotta pack! Thanks for joining me!

Great TR! Along with the gambling, really like your food reviews and ratings.

Sounds like it was a positive trip ... looking forward to reading the next one. Safe travels.

Dang, I really don't like short trips, even when other people take them. I'm feeling like you should stay until Sunday at least :), but I know the casino charter "sweet spot" is 3 days.

ETA: I see you are back soon so that's great to hear! Hope you got back home safely, and just in time before more snow.

Yeah, I get you, and the side trip made it feel even shorter.... but I am making up for it with a lot of trips. Not pictured in my countdown timer is a trip to biloxi right after the MGM trip and another a week and half after the luxor trip. I personally like a 4 "full" day trip as my sweet spot..

I'm actually thinking about hitting up Tahoe this year, Harrah's or Harvey's.......discuss

We need a YouTube video on making Caesars dressing and croutons. Preferably garlic croutons lol

Fun fact the Caesar Salad was invented in Tijuana, Mexico
