Since it looks like I need to use two Seven Star trips in the next year, I'm trying to figure out if we have some new options. I am hoping to use both trips later in the year when (we hope) states will be more open to visitors. Las Vegas is our 'home' property and we are able to drive in and be somewhat socially distanced. For a Seven Star trip, we hope to be more comfortable with air travel. Are any of the Eldorado properties eligible for the trip....and would they be worth it?

In past years we have went to New Orleans (several times), Atlantic City and Windsor Canada. Love New Orleans and will probably visit again for one of our two trips. Travel to Atlantic City included flying us into Philadelphia and a super long limo ride. Not really looking at doing that again. Enjoyed a quiet vacation at Windsor Canada which included front row seats to see Ringo Star in their fabulous entertainment venue, but Canada isn't looking like a possibility for awhile.

    Any suggestions?

Eldorado properties are eligible, I'm told. I think there is one in CO I might try this year.
Took mine to Tahoe over the new year for my trip this year and it was great. Would recommend. Great restaurants, gorgeous scenery, fun snow activities (lake activities during warmer months). Downside is there is about an hour limo drive from reno airport. But, Tahoe is way better than Reno, imo. It's a nice change of pace from the Vegas/Atlantic City vibe.

Did they book your flight or did you book it? If you booked the flight did Tahoe reimburse you. I'm also curious as to my options for 2021.

Also wondering if both your hosts has confirmed if we can in fact use our 2020 benefits (7 Stars retreat/ $500 dinner) in 2021 if we didn't use them in 2020. My host is a lag in communication and some people here are paranoid to see if it would work in 2021.

For Tahoe, depending on what part of Utah you're in, it could be doable by driving. IIRC you can opt to get $500 in RCs in place of the $1,200 air credit... though someone please correct me if that's not the case.

I booked it and they reimbursed when I got there. Flew first class both ways.

Hosts confirmed and I checked with rewards desk also. I wanted to be extra sure. Everybody is telling the same story.

My only issue with former Eldorado properties is most if not all still have tier points in a separate bucket. There's an assumption they will be merged by EOY, but I have yet to see anything official.
Curious if AC, Tahoe etc. would cover some or all a rental in lieu of a limo?

I believe Harrah's SoCal covers some of rental car due to being in a remote location.

Tahoe is a beautiful area, but the drive from northern Utah was not fun. Much better drive to Las Vegas.
We did fly there once for a SevenStar event, but then it's almost an hour drive from Reno airport to Tahoe. A year or two ago we heard from friends that Harrah's Tahoe was no longer offering car service from Reno airport. For the SevenStar event they had sent a 'limo bus' to Reno airport to pick up about 20 at a time. Really well run event with a concert on the lake.

Can tell you that as of two weeks ago in Tahoe both the To and From drives were us by ourselves and in limos. I'm not denying that buses might exist, but definitely not what we experienced.

Has anyone been to Eldorado's Lumiere Place Casino in St Louis?
Can't find much about it but it would be interesting for us to take a paid trip to St Louis. Is the hotel decent? Casino any fun?

We have done our 7* 4x to Tahoe and have had limo service every time including last year. We really enjoyed Sage Room now that it is on the top floor of Harvey’s.
    Great recommendation!

Hey! One of my locals. If you are trying to turn the trip into a general vacation versus a gambling only trip, I think it could be a good choice. The casino has two hotels attached (via walkways) - the Four Seasons and Hotel Lumiere. Four Seasons is a lot nicer, but Hotel Lumiere is passable. The food at Lumiere Place is generally terrible with the exception of Morton's (in the casino) and Cinder House (in Four Seasons) - but I don't know if either of those outlets take reward credit. I like the casino for a local - good mix of slots and table games. Some decent VP. A nice club lounge with a view of the Mississippi. Drinks are free in the lounge, but not free on gambling floor.

The casino is close to downtown St. Louis including the baseball stadium and hockey arena. It's less than a mile to the Gateway arch. And there is a subway stop about a quarter of a mile from the casino. The immediate area around the casino (Laclede's Landing) is kind of a wasteland - I wouldn't walk around there at night. But easy enough to get around with uber/lyft or a rental car.

How far is this from the airport and do you know if they have shuttles available. We used to go to Harrah’s before it became Hollywood
( I believe).and enjoyed the quick trip from Detroit for long weekends.

I think it's about 20 minutes from airport. I don't think the casino runs a shuttle. The subway stop nearest the casino is on the same train line as the airport so that's an option. Or it's probably a $25-$30 uber/lyft ride.

    Meh...
Agree with above regarding the area, it's downtown, there's a homeless camp a block or two away. Usually people on the street corners... They do have an attached garage and 7* parking level there.
Has seemed busier lately with all Illinois casinos being closed.
Personally I find the casino a little smallish.
As far as I know the players lounge is not open, unless it has very recently reopened. No diamond/7* food or drink tickets. (they were giving a food credit before partially merging with CET )
I assume they have hosts there, have yet to hear/see any.
No free drinks on casino floor in Missouri. Free soda only available if you wait in line at the one bar.(waited at least 10 minutes in line for a soda on my last visit)
Most restaurants there are closed. The burger place open is OK and takes 1/1, though their burger quality went down a little after CET came in.

It could be a good base to see other sites in the area in the warmer months. Hopefully things will get better and more on site restaurants will reopen.
It's about 15-20 minutes from the airport by car. I would rent a car or use Uber or Lyft.

We prefer the Ameristar (Boyd owned) , a lot bigger, probably 2x slot machines, a lot more restaurant choices/open. Nice rooms also.

Let me rant a little on this while I'm here. So, the nice steak houses at the two hotels are Friday Station (Harrahs) and Sage Room (Harveys). Both have amazingly gorgeous views. Since we had $500 in food and neither of us drink, we booked both. Both were amazing meals with good service. However, if you can only eat at one, I would definitely recommend Sage Room at Harveys. It's a bit less expensive and the views are a bit better, imo. Our table was basically a room to ourselves with 2 walls that are glass. The only weird thing is the server is always approaching you from behind, because you're facing the windows. Anyway, they're both great restaurants with some overlapping menu choices. If you wanted the seafood, maybe Friday's is better (they have a crazy seafood appetizer that is like $95 for two people, but great). But, if you're fine with just a delicious steakhouse, your money will go further at Sage Room, the views are at least as good if not better, and the food quality is every bit as good.

St Louis and Tahoe are on my 'possible' list! (Will they let me use Tahoe if Las Vegas is my 'home' resort?)

I was also wondering about Harrah's Kansas City. Are casino, hotel & restaurants worthy of a 7Star trip?

I'm so glad I found this forum. Really good information here! Thanks to all for replying:D

Sounds like you know more about St Louis than I do. Could you detail why you would not suggest it for a 7Star trip?

Where else would you suggest? (Which is why I started this thread!) I'm here to learn from those of you who have visited other properties.

(Las Vegas is my home casino base; I've been to New Orleans many times and probably use again for one of my two trips this year; Have already been to Atlantic City twice; Have visited South California many times but dislike the long drive from the airport)

I guess it depends what you're looking for or like to do?
Agree, we like Harrah's Nola, though a little less so with restrictions and no buffet or lounge. (wish they had a pool)
Harrah's KC has a bunch of restrictions right now, mentioned in another thread.
Not really anything near that casino unless you have a car. Employees there are all very friendly.
They have a Gordon Ramsey steakhouse, buffet has been shuttered since covid.:( There’s a casual bar/American food restaurant and a little to go place next to the casino.
Las Vegas rooms are OK, though could use a refresh, especially some of the hall carpeting.
    No pool or spa...
Not been there for awhile, partly due to covid and partly due to slots feeling super tight on the last visit.
Casino is bigger and I'd prefer it over Lumiere despite being older, but not really a resort and mostly a locals casino.

Have you considered Harrah's Cherokee in NC? Read some good things, we've been considering visiting there.
Also considering the Isle/ Lady luck in Blackhawk Colorado. Looks like there are a number of casinos in that area. (Heard good things about Ameristar there, but its not CET) Need to find out more about them and see if they'll be fully merged.
    There's also a CET Harrah's AK-Chin by Phoenix we've been considering visiting.
Not been to Tahoe or AC either so may try one of those if things improve.
