My game of choice is VP at the bars. Are the bars in 4 Queens open and able to play at them?

I don’t think they are open for someone to go up to a bar and get a drink at. They may have wait staff there to serve drinks to you

Bars at 4Qs are closed and you may not stand/sit/play at them. Nor can you order drinks at them.

Wow, that's rough. I spend 75% of my Vegas time at the bar (4Q's often, plus many others), playing VP and enjoying the "complimentary" beverages, which often cost me much more than the normal retail price. Sometimes though, they really are free, plus a nice bonus. Oh well....Sadly not planning a trip right now anyway.

VP cannot be played at closed bars. At D had them covered with some kind of black cover. All chairs removed.

I can understand bars being closed, but once a bar is closed why not allow video poker as long as the patrons are socially distant? Sounds like a bureaucratic decision without much thought.

I am not complaining, but I will throw this one out there FWIW.
I was at a downtown casino Saturday afternoon. I won't name the casino.

They had a drawing that day at 3:00 p.m.
They gave away quite a bit of money. 30+ winners, so everyone had a decent chance of winning.
Needless to say the area around the players club got really crowded.
There were people arguing about distancing.
The promotions manager- rep kept making announcements saying that we were all doing such a good job of distancing! LOL not.
But he just kept repeating it as if it were true.
It seemed like they had extra security on hand but they were not enforcing distancing, they were basically just breaking up the arguments about it.

Both casinos and local bars with gaming machines are being treated equally with this rule. Local bars with seating away from the bar will have to have employees physically at the bar to make drinks. There is no "service bar" in your local pub.

Edit: Some of Nevada now allows machines away from the bar if the establishment has room.

The Brew Pub at the 4Q is open for food and drinks, but the machines are closed.

Thanks for the info, Don. I was wondering if I could sit up there and eat and not have to occupy a table as a single.

I don't think they let you sit at the Chicago Brew Pub bar even to eat. I don't recall there being barstools, and I was seated at a table (on the non-smoking) side every time I went, and they did not seem too happy about it if I was reading their "Just one?" tone correctly two out the three times I went.

I would also prefer a spaced out bar top to a table when I'm solo.

Bartops are still not open in Vegas. They will be reevaluated on 9/3.

Since Laughlin is in Clark County, their bartops have to be closed too. If you want to play at a bar top, consider Ely. It's in White Pine County.

Thanks! For some reason, I thought Laughlin was in a different county.
