That’s what it was called. Quite awhile ago I stayed in one of those and it was massive.

Good start, keep it up!

    Negative.
    There is no room service.

Even Hosts can’t send up water, bottles or snacks.

Spending some time Paris poolside w a cabana.

they give you a case of the mini water, tell you to drink or take, they can’t take back.

    I’m writing my report.
    Some aren’t going to like it, well, maybe most F9BE154C-4761-464A-9059-8A7592F3DC55.jpeg 67C9E0D6-9074-499A-A06C-7DF5CD416B18.jpeg 3387076E-1154-4117-9625-F64DE85EC483.jpeg 25B08812-BC02-43D5-B01B-DA2687D3B6FA.jpeg 600B24B8-C33F-4414-B378-422B3E6BEC9E.jpeg

I'm aching as I restrain myself from making a smartass joke about Nice (France) / nice (adjective)... and sweet / suite makes doing so even more tempting

The possible "Who's on First?" and "Dude, Where's my Car" offshoots are making me chuckle internally. Of course this would only work if one mispronounced "Nice" to be the same as "nice".

    "This is a nice suite!"
"Yeah, that's what it's called! Pretty sweet, huh?"
    "I know it's a suite. I'm saying it's nice."
"Right, that's what it's called, the Nice suite."
"It's nice and it's sweet? I guess so. But what's the name of this suite?"
    "Nice!"
"No, what do they call the suite?!"
"Fine, the Nice suite is sweet. You don't think it's nice?"

If it was called the Nice suite for some time... a conversation like this absolutely had to happen at some point. For all we know it could have been the reason it had to be re-named :)

    Part I

    It’s not Vegas anymore.

It’s just not, it’s not the same. It feels tarnished. It doesn’t have that Disney-esque Fantasy world feel anymore, least not around mid-strip.

McCarran Airport was pretty barren when I arrived at 1:30pm on an uneventful SWA non-stop from Orlando. Met my driver at baggage claim, again, barren, empty, and off to the limo you saw earlier. Lovely young lady driver, said she had to close partition for virus reasons.....I hope that’s the real reason and not my soul piercing hazel eyes from just above the face covering.

Arrive Paris, start to head to D/7* check in and there’s a guard. Oh, temp guard guy. He takes your body temp. Then was told the D/7* check in is actually the quarantine area...check in is now a priority line next to concierge.

Get a nice room, a Burgundy Exec Suite, which is what was a Nice suite. It’s nice, for a Nice....yeah, I know. View is epic. It’s end of hall strip side, upper floor.

Because of virus, no room service, no gifts from your host....no sodas, mixers, booze, Snacks, gift cakes, nothing.....

No coffee makers in room. Cooties
    No daily housekeeping. Cooties
    No room service. Cooties
    No buffets. Cooties
Many places closing early, like 10-11pm. Cooties
Cromwell looks sad and abandoned. Cooties.
Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino also looks sad and abandoned. Cooties.
Miracle Mile shopping is open, but also slow. Cooties.
If you hate crowds, you’ll love this. Cooties.

*For the record I am not making fun of the Cooties or anyone affected by the onset of Cooties. (But I did tell ya girls give ya cooties, stupid).

    At CET properties...
    No plastic guards. Just masks.
Every slot/VP machine is on, but stools at every other. You can move, but must keep one machine distance.
Everyone in a mask at all times unless eating or drinking. Even poolside.
CW/Servers are sparse. I understand they’ve cut back on stuff, but they need more servers. I played two hours on a Saturday morning, in HL slot area, never even saw a server. Not blaming, just observation.
