I cancelled my CET reservation at the Linq (cabana room roughly 250$+ a night to the public ) on my own. Even if they moved me, I was expecting a basic Flamingo room. So now we’re staying at the Venetian.

I’m LOL...suddenly the Flamingo will be considered “comparable” to Paris and Planet Hollywood. I wouldn’t suggest booking into the Empire without a confirmed reservation at Caesars Palace unless you are prepared to wind up at Flamingo.

I decided not to gamble on if Ballys will be open by my trip and if they would switch my reservation, my luck, id lose lol...so it cost me more to book at Flamingo for my June trip and in the process I cancelled my Sept trip at Flamingo to book at Ballys. well the website sucks and after cancelling it, it wouldnt let me book anywhere...so I had to call Ballys, they answered quick and got everything straight for me

They are going to open the High Roller Observation wheel... how? One family per pod? Will the happy half hour be possible?

Yes, but only once (bar pod). It was about 15 people on it. I didn’t realize that this was not the norm. All the better then, since I really want to do it again next time.

I am seeing $250/day for some cabanas at Caesars in July (weekdays).
I would normally never spend this but there will be 5 of us & we are trying to social distance so it seems like a good idea.

Yeah, I'd go ahead & change that since they are not opening PH first if they do open June 4. THAT much we know.
I did my changes & was pleased that I had GO rooms at Flamingo--haven't seen those comped in a while. (it's just me to start; DH & I got CP Octavius in July)

Yep, I moved Ballys to Flamingo (Go room!) June 6-12; FINGERS CROSSED.
    Bellagio comped 13-14 via MyVegas.

Did you do on-line? For two days, I have seen my Comped rooms for Flamingo, but when I try to book, even if I try into July, it doesn't finish and shows this: "Sorry! Our website is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try your search again or call us at 1-888-342-7724. Our reservation specialists are available from 5 a.m. - midnight PST."

Yeah I have changed several things over the last week & have periodically gotten that message.
I did end up getting it done online.
But calling is always quick & easy.

Just called in and they said they’ve heard nothing about switching hotels and I’d have to upgrade (pay more) to switch to Caesars from planet Hollywood.

Not surprising. Looks like its gonna be Flamingo comped or CP for a fee.
Remember--those operators are very often in another country; the only info they have is what they are given.
I am NO Flamingo fan. We stayed one & had some hallway cleanliness issues that had us stick with Ballys after that.
But it was a GO room & I DID like that. Usually the only comps are Fab rooms but I got a GO room so I am good with that.
Pretty sure they picked CP & Flamingo as the pools r best. And since gambling isn't my focus this time, and pool time is, I can deal with it.
If DH was coming on Sunday with me it would be CP if we link...but since just I am checking in, that's not gonna fly...

I would have thought that Paris would open before Flamingo - the reason being that Flamingo's casino is so small...wouldn't CET want to maximize the casino business over the hotel business?
