Wearing a mask covers up one's hairstyle or make-up( or lack of).

Pull it back into a pony tail, and people will think you are a hold-out hippie.

In Vegas, no matter how good you think you look, someone looks better. And also no matter how shabby you look, there’s someone doing it worse. So give up and DGAF.

That might be an excuse to check off a Vegas bucket list item.
Shave and a haircut, two bits... probably a bit more these days.

Las Vegas has so much variation in style and presentation, from those who are done-up to the nines in the daytime to those certainly unkempt.

For me, anyway, I feel self-conscious when on those infrequent trips to go in and get something. I'm a people-watcher, and I know that I, as a people, am being watched. :) I figure I can live with the image of a bag lady for 10 minutes or so, but when my stylist opens (I'm on the "call list") I'm there, pronto!

For what it’s worth, wouldn’t the ability to go to Vegas to gamble, etc. imply that Nevada is allowing other establishments, such as barbershops/salons, to also be open? I know things will open in tiers and not necessarily all at once, but my presumption is that when Nevada opens casinos, other establishments - likely barbershops- also be open, so it seems like this may be a moot hypothetical.

vegasbj - where do you get your haircut in Vegas. I have considered doing it out there more often but wasn’t sure of any great places.

Getting a haircut in Vegas is something I'm debating if I do end up going to Vegas in May. I'll either shave my head before or just get a cut while in Vegas. I usually get my haircut every 2 1/2 weeks, I'm 5 weeks in now. Still have at least another 5 weeks to go before I can get one around here.

I have been desperate for a haircut for about six weeks, but in the UK hair clippers became the new "toilet roll" commodity, you could not get them anywhere. I finally managed to order a beard trimmer which would have to do, so this afternoon my wife cut my hair with a beard trimmer and some kitchen scissors - I now have a Kim Jung Un haircut......

So, to tell a little back story.... The main Master Stylist at Christophe at MGM ( head of the whole salon hair wise) left there when MGM took over the salon. He has studied hair under Vidal Sassoon in France, head of education in the US for many high profile hair companies, yada yada yada. When MGM took over the salon, most of the best hair stylists quit as they complained ( rightly) that MGM doesn't know jack about running a salon, shouldn't be telling him how long a haircut should take with a client, etc. He also cuts hair based on the shape of your head and facial features, not a generic haircut that is the same for everyone who walks through the door. So, for example, if a female walked in and said I want Jennifer Aniston's hairstyle, he would look at your facial features and say "No" if that hairstyle did not match your head and facial features, So, needless to say, he has a tremendous following. My wife and I only fly in from L.A. to get our haircut from him, but he has regular clients that come in from Chicago, Canada, Florida, etc just to get their hair cut from him. My wife has curly hair, and she won't go anywhere else. You would think for a guy's haircut " they are all the same", but he definitely makes a difference. My buddy usually gets a buzz cut cause his hair is so unruly, with multiple cowlicks, and on one trip he was with me and his hair had grown out some, and this guy cut his hair in a manner that actually allowed him to wear a longer hairstyle than just being buzzed.

So, he moved to a place called "Look Style Society". It is at the Town Square Mall which is at the end of the Strip past Mandalay Bay. Stylist's name is Eric Bensimon. He charges $40 for a men's haircut, and well worth it. Call and make a reservation as early in advance as possible ( 2-4 weeks, especially if looking for a weekend appt.)
If you want his direct contact details, PM me

Last time I got haircut was right before I left for Vegas which was March 9th!!!! And I cut my hair like every 2 weeks, now shit is just too messy. Yup I need cut really bad - I keep my hair pretty short so I usually cut my hair right before I leave for any trip, so it would not change my plan I just get cut before I go.

Lol. The place I go to is still tsking appointments, in LA. Just have to be a regular and call.

Not going to look like some hippie, though, I'm not going to Vegas until it is back to normal. Not wear masks and being treated like a leper.
