    Hi Everyone!

I've been to Vegas many times but this time I'd like to visit a few historical spots and/or famous areas that were featured in Pop Culture (movies and music videos). I hear there are some hidden gems on Fremont that are must sees. Looking for any and all suggestions!

    Thanks!

I know what you mean. I've been to Vegas many times and still didn't visit the iconic Vegas sign. Too much people.....:p

If you happen to be Downtown you can take a pic with the display of a million dollars at Binions. Every time I pass by it's never busy. And yes, another thing I've yet to do, lol!

Take a selfie while the Fremont Experience is going on in the background?

While you're at it might as well take selfies with the following in the background:

Plaza lobby entrance (With the millions of old school light bulbs....)

In front of the Golden Nugget and Four Queens signs on the Fremont Canopy side.

Fremont Hotel exterior entrance (Again with all those old school light bulbs)

With the Vegas Vic and Vegas Vicky sign in the background.

    Have fun!!

The Plaza was used for Biff’s casino in Back to the Future 2.

You can also walk by the spot where 2pac was shot, between Bally’s and Ellis Island

You could check out Atomic Liquors. People would watch atomic blasts from the roof. The Smothers brothers, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Barbara Streisand would frequent the place. Barbara was a friend of the owner and would shoot pool there. Also, an episode of the Twilight Zone, the Clint Eastwood movie The Gauntlet and Martin Scorsese Casino were shot there.. that was where Joe Pesci kills the guy with a pen.

Not positive but I think it was season 1 episode 17 about a guy playing slot machine who thinks the machines are talking to him.

You can sit in the booth at Fremont buffet that Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau sat in during the movie swingers. The decor really hasn't changed much either

Here is one on the historical front:

If you've ever been on Fremont Street chances are you've walked right by where legalized casino gaming in Nevada was born, way back in 1931.

On this very spot, at the far eastern end of the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino,15 Fremont St., the first legal casino in Nevada, the Northern Club, was granted a casino license by the state of Nevada in the spring of 1931.

Kind of hard to believe there isn't even a little plaque on the sidewalk to commemorate such a historic location.

The Segway Tour DT does a wonderful job of giving you some fairly in-depth history as you ride/glide past several spots.

The el Cortez is a great place to stop at if you want history. Not sure if it's still there but there was a machine that you could win a coin with Bugsy Segal on it. It's also not far from the Mob Museum. Another fun spot to see might be Zak Bagan's Haunted Museum.
