Spotted this old boy parked outside Sam's Town.

 

I was a jack off at The Orleans.

I know that spot! It didn't look that good to be honest, yet the lines were a mile long every morning. Looked like it was out of business every night lol. I brought my own coldbrew that trip so I had no need to partake. Excalibur memories...Say what you will about the Excalibur, they played some of the best music on the casino floor imo!

This one looks odd, even surreal, but I like it.

It's a Sigma ultrawide shot, covering more than a 90 degree angle from side to side, and looking upward, giving quite a bit of distortion.

The bizarre amber glow is real, and exactly the way it appeared in real life. It was on a misty and rainy evening and the lights from the buildings were diffracted below the clouds.

This is one from the last trip that actually "worked" due to the weather. I'll be posting some others from the trip in this series.

The weather this last trip just totally sucked! There's no other way to put it. I actually schlepped two cameras, a tripod, and various accessories in my huge steamer-trunk-size check-in bag out to El Lay, then to Las Vegas, and then back, hoping to do some quality photo walks and/or drives but the weather was just plain nasty! No good daytime light at all, except right after I left, as per the forementioned Red Rock Canyon crowds.

I was hoping to re-shoot the Strip from a vantage point I stumbled on in Henderson, with a tripod and a bodyguard this time, but there was just too much rain/mist/haze in the air!

Oh well, so it goes (and so do I).

Aria. I can’t remember if it was a lounge or a restaurant. I’m not too familiar with that property but when I was walking around it a couple of weeks ago I thought this was a kind of cool photo op.

 

On a walk in December, we stopped at Fireside Lounge/Peppermill only so my best friend could see it. He had never been in and I could not convince him to stay for a drink.

 

That was the night we ended up in an argument because we had to do everything he wanted and put my stuff on the back burner.
