Post a random pic of a vacation spot/having fun somewhere

We spent a few days in Maine last month that included a hike in East Point Sanctuary in Biddeford that provided the following view of Saco Bay and Wood Island Lighthouse.


Following dinner in Cape Porpoise, we passed by this scene.



Man cannot live by scenery alone.

 

This is me having fun, err umpiring a state championship baseball game at Target Field. That’s me in the blue.

 

I was at a conference and not on vacation/having fun, but perhaps @ken2v or another member can identify this golf course, as depicted from my hotel room over the weekend. A PGA Tour event is played at this TPC course every year.

 

I would guess San Antonio. Do you know which town you're in? lol

 

@ken2v I wanted to see if you could guess it from only the minimal context, and yes, you were exactly right. Taken from my top floor room at the JW Marriott overlooking the course.

 

Not really "vacation" (although it's still summer ... , but a nice sunrise from my deck this morning.

A friend lives south of this spot and yesterday they had marble-sized and larger hail.

 

For years my buddies and I went to Sunriver the week before Memorial day for tennis, beer, poker, beer, tennis. One year we had to wait for the snow to melt off the courts in the morning, but then we played under the sun in comfortable weather for the next two days. Our good friend had a house there and our pilgrimage stopped four years ago when he died, but this year we are renting a house and doing it again in his name. May the sun shine.

 

Good for you guys. Keep the memories going by creating new ones!!

 

Late spring in the PNW, as you PNW dwellers know, can be dicey. Nice cooling trend next week when we're in Bend. 70s.

 

In keeping with my Central Oregon theme, something from the WABAC Machine:

 

This place opened a couple months ago to bring some life to our Mall. Couple shots of the exterior and the interior. When we did go to Pinz I got the Biscuit Waffle with Chicken. As well as we shared some topped off Tarot Tots. And they even have live music on Saturday nights. Nice place. Hope it survives.

Our closest mall could use some new life, too...
