August 2019 Roll Call

Looks like a couple folks at Ballys when we are there Aug 22-26. Maybe we will run into you at the Lobby bar

 

25-29, Mirage

 

Wife and I arrive on the 17th. The rest of the group show up on the 18th. All of us staying at the Flamingo (updated rooms, decent pool scene, and good location) Also thinking about a mid-stay overnighter Downtown at The D.

 

Yes I am one who will be there during this timeframe, we should do a group buy-in of a pool cabana on Saturday the 24th or set a time and section at the pool.

Aug. 19-21 for the BJ tournament at Caesar's. Staying at the Flamingo, since I couldn't get comped room at Caesar's. Everything is booked but airfare. Still waiting for the approval of my vacation time!!!! Hopefully soon before the airfare starts going up!!!!

Will be at the Mirage Aug 9 - 12 celebrating my 40th birthday

 

Wife and I would be in for a group slot pull. Staying at Cosmo Aug 4-8.

 

How do group pulls even go down?

 

Endless ways to configure this.
Lets say everyone puts in $200.
If total cost per spin is $10 then each person gets 20 spins.
Now, you can decide to automatically stop at 20 or the person spinning gets to decide whether to continue until their $200 is gone or stop.
Each player spinning gets to use their card.
The only problem is if a sizable win is hit, the casino will only pay the 1 person who pressed the button.
You just have to hope that one person is honest enough to split it with everyone. .
Then you also have to decide if that one person keeps extra because they will be responsible for the taxes.
Following a few group pulls done here, I have yet to read of anyone getting a significant win.

 

Hubby & I at Cosmo Aug 17-20th (1st stay there--so excited to try it out!). We would be down for a slot pull

 

Caesars - Aug 14-15, Cosmo for the 16th.

 

August 12th to 16th at The Orleans. Wife and I are going to enjoy a few days before summer vacation wraps up. The only for sure plan is catching Def Leppard's opening night of their residency at PH.

 

Bally’s Aug 18-23 solo trip. I’d be up for group slot pull and/or craps session

Any interest in doing a craps crawl thru some downtown casinos on Aug 19th(Mon) or 20th(Tue).
Got the idea from this thread (https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/thursday-august-1st-%E2%80%93-fremont-st-casino-crawl-craps-meet-up-really-fun.163579/) that @EastCoastVegasFan! started. Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not an expert craps player by any means, but have been playing more lately. I'm open to timing and either day (staying at the Mirage those days in case anyone wants to uber pool to downtown)

Friday/Sat @ NYNY then Sun/Mon @ PH (leaving tuesday) and my wife and I plan to hit downtown on that Monday but not certain the time.
Being from the East Coast she gets me up early (Vegas time) when in Vegas and we tend to head downtown while it still dark and we take the bus.
You meet some "interesting" people that early. Our time downtime always varies.
I will monitor the thread for day/time. If we happen to be there and provided the drink at each place can be non-alcoholic I will join in the fun.
We could play early morning and have an espresso "shot" at each place.
