I’ve inadvertently started a collection of whiskey water pitchers. Inadvertent because I never really noticed them or knew they were a “thing” until I went into a local bar/restaurant that has hundreds of them displayed throughout. I now notice them during my thrift store runs and have picked up a few. Yes, I’m frugal (cheap) too.

I thought long and hard about this and found that I'm pretty practical as far as spending in regards to the thread subject.

I don't shop excessively for clothes, shoes, or jewelry. I used to fish a lot and that used to be quite expensive but I don't fish anymore. Aside of the occasional special event, I don't spend much on food, preferring simple meals and don't eat out often.

The only thing I could think about where people might say I spend extravagantly or wastefully is when I go to gamble.

Wow! Interesting thread and I have nothing to contribute to it. Not counting 7-8 Vegas trips per year, and usually 3 other trips to other places, I've got nothing to add.

I collect anything that I can Buy at a Rummage sale for $1-5 , and sell for $50+ on eBay. Unfortunately, since I hit the stock market a couple times, I lazily haven't been do the selling! Still hit the Rummage sales with my wife. We even do it in Vegas!! It's a good thing the Rummage market has been cleaned out the lat few years, or my house would be bursting.

Hey, just wait until you retire. I got rid of most of my work shirts and I hardly buy clothes anymore (except for underwear and t shirts). Especially in Hawaii, most of the time I just wear t shirts and shorts. The only time I wear long pants or dress shirts is for special occasions. But most of the time I wear shorts in vegas (except during the winter).

    Used to be...Jewelry, make-up, clothes...

Now it's just Traveling. Any extra money extra time goes to that. Just to make it enjoyable and to experience all we can out of the trip we're on.

When I'm not traveling (which is a lot it seems) I enjoy a good steak dinner with all the extras. But not too often...

Deodorant. Most people rave about my musky scent. They say it unfairly covers that up.

Every year I question myself......" why ?"
I pay a " shady " guy to have it pass Inspection....and pay him ALOT for that.
Then pay Insurance....and now 2 more years of Registration ?
.....and its falling apart.....I don't drive it ?.....but love it when I do !....only close by - don't trust it !
    Why ?
What is wrong with me ?
If they still made this small truck. ?.....I'd buy a new one tomorrow !

DH wants me to ask what number it was? Apparently he has a few early ones. He is quite the "enthusiast"!!

My extravagance is care care products. I’ve bought a few professional grade car care products in the last year, probably to to the tune of $1500. Plus another $1500 to get my car ceramic coated. I plan to keep this car a while, and want it to look new as long as possible.

I didn't save that number but it must have been WWII surplus. I got it abut 1959.

Wow, nice! I will tell him. LOL He is a total enthusiast. Don't even have an idea of how many guns he has.
If my extravagance is Vegas and wine. His is guns and tractors!

Lego’s for my grandsons - thousands of dollars of expensive legos.
Under Armor athletic wear for my grandsons - thousands of dollars of UA.

For me personally, my one extravagance is shoes. I pay whatever it takes for shoes that wear well as in extreme comfort. Thank goodness my stiletto or tall shoe days are long over.

Well this thread has informed me of lots! Mainly, of how poor I am .... :nworthy:

    Enjoyed reading though!

I have started my collection of cats! So, when I'm of retirement age, and with the ever constant risk of deciding to swear off men for good, at least I will be ready for my crazy cat lady years.
