Looking into reserving a fan cave at the Book @ Linq for college football next Saturday and want to know anyone’s experience, good or bad.
We can reserve a cave for up to ten people for a $50 fee and a $500 minimum f&b from 9-430. It sounds very reasonable considering the length of stay and the amount of friends coming (closer to six). I want to reserve it but want to make sure that it is the best place to go considering the cost, location (staying at Bally’s)and it being renovated and all. Thanks in advance! :peace:

Forgot to add, another reason I picked this place is due to it being a CET property

Construction won't bother you. It's fine if you would plan to buy $500+ of F/B at any other sportsbook.

I’ve looked at other books like at the Cromwell ($80 per head) and CP is even higher and Bally’s book is so lame for viewing and enjoying a few games

Well, out of all the CET props, this probably looks the best. Granted, I've never actually booked/reserved a spot here though. I did pass by it just before they opened and it looked great. I don't believe the other sports books can give you your own personal tvs right in front of your couch like The Book does but could be wrong. Anyway, here's a pic I took about a month ago before they opened.

Awesome pic Jon! Really appreciate an actual picture vs one of those doctored up photos from the Linq!

Same here as I walked by it 2 weeks ago. Nice looking area with a “guarded” entrance

I really don't like that "guarded" entrance. It will drive casual customers away and feels like the "Average Joe" doesn't belong to me.

And if you're gonna have a snobby entrance, get some snobby beer to match dammit!

My thoughts exactly tringlomane. That’s why I made sure to mention guarded. Just not the kind of look I was expecting with a sports book. Other places you can reserve your seats online for CET Sportsbook ( I e Cromwell and Caesars). I personally thought the guarded entrance was over the top. I settled in Saturday to watch my UB Bulls at the Cromwell Sportsbook in an unreserved leather seat ! It also appeared to be only 2/3 ticket windows at Linq Sportsbook but I may have missed 1.

Can you guys explain the “guarded” entrance? Does that mean that there’s a bouncer? Are you not allowed in at all w/out a reservation? What if you’re passing by and just want to place a bet? What about at less busy times?

Watched the NFL here week 2, it's a good deal. You have multiple screens which you control on a tablet, service very good. We ended up spending around $400 which was fine with the waitress. It's a good thing they have a hostess that watches the entrance as a ton of random people wander in and sit on the floor etc around your space, kind of bizarre. Otherwise a good time.

They had a guard there one day when we were there 10/10-10/15 but that day they had a private party going on. I think it was Friday or Saturday. I did not notice anything the other days.

"The Book" is actually a lounge type area where you can view the games and have food/drinks. The actual sportsbook is a small booth to the side of it and out of the lounge area. When I passed by, I didn't see bouncers but rather hostesses. When I went, there were no games playing at the time. I'll check it out next weekend during football games and see how it is.

It's surrounded by things like plastic tree branches obscuring the view of the area. A casual passerby might not realize what it is.

I would watch here for a dedicated time and group - just not good place to drop by and watch as free/public space seems limited

Looks like the food there is only at that food truck Sticky Chicken, do they allow any outside food? I've seen the menu and it looks kinda lame. Again thanks in advance!

Eww. I tried the Sticky Chicken - I think it came out to be $2 per chicken wing. Wasn't that good. Only good thing was that I was able to use my CET points.
