    @Mitkraft
You're on it man. Just now read that a member of CH produced HOP "Jump Around." Explains similarities.

+ @dmr The (previously unknown to me) Willis Alan Ramsey original? The America cover? Tony Tenille cover?

Edited based on info from Kev2v.

America had the first cover, and they renamed the original.

Just about anything Shania Twain or Garth Brooks. I also absolutely hate "She thinks my Tractor's sexy" (barf) I think that song is stupid/stooopid so you can add Kenny Chesney to the group of singers/songs I never care to hear again.

After hearing this on about 200+ occasions, it's time to...

    Let it Go!

Bad. But you could move any on that Rolling Stone list to the top position, easily.

    One of my favorites!

In the jungle, the mighty jungle
    The lion sleeps tonight
In the jungle the quiet jungle
    The lion sleeps tonight

Hey Jude is on my list too and I love The Beatles but Hey Jude is monotonous if you were a kid in the 60's and happened to be on a road trip when it was released. I believe we heard it 1,243 times the first few weeks ;) I could never warm to it after that.

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back and pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
    Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
    Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
    I am strong
    (Strong)
    I am invincible
    (Invincible)
    I am woman.

Any song, especially classic rock, that they use in an commercial. Can’t blame people for making money from their work, but it ruins any feeling or memories I may have had for that piece of music.

I hear what you are saying but:

Cracks me up every time! I think this one is genius. Not all perversions of classic songs are terrible.

    Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Though the send-up "literal" video is a classic.

Okay, here's one for @Richard Alpert ... While playing in the casino in Ely, I heard some old 70's music and kept asking if we drove through some kind of time warp. Jackson 5, Village People, etc. But when I heard what sounded like a news broadcast, I thought, "Oh no!" Then it happened. The casino was playing The Streak. I told mom that we had to leave. :haha:
