I'm heading to Vegas (Bellagio) soon and have been reminded of something that happened at the pool a couple of years ago. I think about it because I've never figured out how I should have acted. And it's not something I thought was appropriate, but given some of the tasteless crap that's been posted here recently, I don't think this is out of bounds. Maybe some of the ladies (I'm a guy) would have a suggestion. Bellagio has several micro. pools with chilly water and fountains. Great for waking up or shaking off a hangover. Maybe 10-12 feet square. Anyway, one morning I was sitting on the edge, legs dangling in the water. People on loungers, but the only other person "at" the pool was a 20-something young lady in a tiny bikini dangling her legs on the perpendicular edge to my right. Just staring at the water as if deep in thought. I glanced at her and -- her lady parts (waxed) were totally exposed. My glance was slightly extended but she didn't notice. Quite sure she wasn't a hooker trying to meet cute. Point is: what, if anything do you do? I did nothing, just got up and went to another pool, hoping that a female pool-goer would see her and tactfully make her aware. Not an earth-shaking event, and not really my business, but how would you handle that with least embarrassment to young lady?

Do nothing...or do what you did, if uncomfortable, just move. You can't rule out the possibility that exhibitionism is entertaining, for both parties involved.

I don't know how a guy could really say anything to her about it without embarrassing her or seeming like a creeper. Just don't stare, and hope that a woman sees it or that she realizes it on her own and fixes it. If you're uncomfortable, then yes, moving away isn't a bad idea.

Perhaps she was tanning her lady parts? I probably would have offered to buy her a drink?

Well, I almost had a "wardrobe malfunction" at the Mirage pool and nobody told me. Alls I know is, I never been treated better in my life. People were super friendly. I didn't pay for a drink. I don't try on bathing suits because, who needs that in their life? I bought a halter neck one piece in a busy pattern (distract from the ample-ness of my gut). It was $8 on clearance at Giant Tiger. I put it on in the room, didn't look in a mirror. Felt like the girls were supported fine. Wasn't worried. I'm a middle aged, chubby housewife, who the hell cares? I put my pool cover up on, the one that's like a dress or skirt depending on how you wear it. I wore it as a dress until I got clear of the casino floor. Then I pulled it down into a skirt. From then on everybody was waving, saying hello to me, smiling. I got greeted by a pool guy who seated me, gave me a towel, got me a drink. I was like wow, the Mirage pool is super nice. This is like the service I get at the VIP pool at Golden Nugget. Turns out the bathing suit was A-cut lower than I thought. And B-was showing more cleavage than I imaged. I have no idea how the girls stayed put but they did. I don't think anybody would have told me if they didn't though. I honestly thought the service was just really good and the people were just super friendly. Yes, I'm that dumb.

Well, if you spend a lot of time in Vegas you realize that many young ladies these days don't like to wear clothes, especially clothes that cover up their private parts. I do a lot of late night / early morning gambling at Flamingo, Crommwell (Drai's Club), and Bally's and from about 1 am to 6 am there always is a parade of girls wearing skirts that barely cover their bottoms. I can only imagine what percent are not wearing under garments, or thong's. One thing for sure is they are not modest. Thankfully, many of them have the bodies to pull off these outfits.

There is also another possibility - do not rule out the possibility that she was "trolling". ie looking for a paid date. I know at the Venus pool (adult pool) at Caesars, a lot of adult entertainers hang out there and have been known to be very friendly and willing to spend an hour or two offering private aerobic lessons for the right fee.

What was embarrassing about this? Unless you were wearing a speedo and your boner was showing.
This is a time for mirror sunglasses and a bucket of beer.

I witnessed a speedo incident....the guy was sound asleep (or passed out). Of course, everyone one was glancing his way. A cocktail server walked by him and discreetly placed a towel over his speedo. Poor guy...however, made for a good lol.

You'll see the relevance of this... I was reading an article about the lives of modern butlers, and what kind of things happen in clients' homes. One butler was describing an incident when he turned a corner with one hand facing outward at the torso level, only to collide with a female visitor - and his hand landed right on her breast. He describes how his butler training prescribed to simply break away from the situation as fast as you can in such cases as this. The interviewer asked "but you didn't apologize to her for it?", and the butler replied "who do you think would have been more embarrassed if I did?".

That, right there, I think is representative of the proper etiquette in situations such as these. The butler couldn't have avoided his hand landing on this woman's breast, just as you couldn't have avoided your gaze landing on this woman's lady parts. Is it better to aggravate the situation by trying to fix it? Or hope she didn't notice/just not draw attention to it if she did notice?

I'm thinking maybe I should spend a little time at the pool. Granted I'm single and ok with a little wardrobe malfunction. Or a lot.....

Similar things occasionally happened to me at work (a high school). Leaving the scene is not an option in such cases. Fortunately, so far as I knew, in only one case did any boys in the class see what I saw. One day, a young lady wearing an insufficiently buttoned blouse was displaying one breast to the delight (and the detriment to his assignment!) of the boy in the next row. Since the class was working, I made a tour of the room, stepped between them to block his view, looked the girl in the eye and pantomimed the act of buttoning my shirt. She quickly complied. I think she knew what she had been doing. At other times, when others were not distracted, I just positioned myself where I could no longer see and soldiered on with the lesson.

One must draw the line somewhere. I did report a girl to an adult female tutor who was going to see her the next period. The girl was wearing a short skirt and no panties. While she was cloaked in what God gave her, the view was still way more than I wanted to see. I am not sure what happened afterwards. The tutor told me the girl was in the habit of dressing that way. Somehow I had never noticed. The girl, who had been absent more days than she was present, never returned to my classroom.

Things are different out in the world. In the case of the pool, since it was an adult for whom I had no responsibility as de facto parent, I probably would have looked and just tried not to be obvious.
