Experience from the last trip was that Caesars is very tight. Did much better at Sams Town although not as great as sometimes.

 

It's all a matter of sitting down at the right machine at the right time. Double & Triple Diamonds are the machines that people have seemed to be hitting pretty big lately. Good luck.

 

In general, the offstrip/downtown places pay the better than properties on the strip.

Denomination matters too....penny slots pay the least, dollars and up will return the most.

Sadly any information you will get here will be purely ancidotaol and full of confirmation bias.

Now if you are looking for slots with high volatility, bigger less frequent payouts or low volatility higher amount of payouts but smaller... that probably can be answered.

 

My experience is that Hot Hot Penny machines have frequent pay-outs but smaller in amt. paid out.

Still fun to play though.

 

@OP - If you're even asking the question, you might want to reset your expectations. It doesn't matter where you play, or what you play, other than penny slots at 7-11 or the gas station. (highest house PC)

As wanker751 said, the denomination has a LITTLE to do with the percentage payout, but you're really dealing with high volatility and low volatility.

Konami games are typically low volatility. IMHO, you should find a game that you like and that you find entertaining, and play at a bet level appropriate for your budget.

Slots are "purely" luck, right down to picking the machine you play. Location has almost nothing to do with it.

 

Payout % is public information, filed regularly with the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Downtown is slightly better than the Strip, but then you're downtown.

Last I looked, the best % payouts were on $25 denomination machines and the high limit multi-denomination. The worst were the pennies/feature/progressive games.

But the slot payouts include video poker and video poker downtown is far better than strip, and that may screw #'s

 

As a long time slot player I have found the most winning machine is always the one right next to mine and being played by someone else.

Really, just decide which denomination you want to play, pick one that is visually appealing to you and give it a go - hopefully you will have beginner's luck!

 

Yeah it will a bit. The 1c numbers will be a fairly reliable judge of how loose the region's games are as 99%+ of those are slots only.

My first couple of trips I broke exactly even on each and every session of slots--and for the trip as a whole.

I agree that the slots off-strip are better paying slots. I usually make a little more when I venture off of the strip to the Boulder Highway area, i.e., Arizona Charlies, Sams Town, Eastside Cannery, etc.

 

True. But it groups casinos together. And even if they listed casinos, it would not list each machine. Therefore, the numbers are of marginal value.

By the way, you can easily play a 100% payout $1 machine and drop a thousand dollars. Not hard to do.

 

Statewide for Jan I guess if the $10,000,000 plus Jackpot had gone off on the 31st then a cursory look at the figures would have made the Megabucks Slots look very attractive
