The interesting revelation in there is that Crystals is now profitable.

A lot of the same people who hated it also railed on how it was empty and was doomed to become a ghost town.

I'm not really wild on it expanding, but I think that's a better use for that space than another hotel and/or condo tower.

If they make any more CVS/walgreens on the strip, Florida is going to annex Vegas.

No I am not happy about it. Not because it's high end but because it's completely unoriginal and exactly what we knew they would end up doing. the City Center complex as a whole needs something to give it life, color and personality, not more stores.

Great! More retail sparhfberhbfhrfbrhf..... Sorry, nodded off for a bit just typing that. How about building something entertaining in that spot? (With a drug store on the ground floor, naturally)

City Center has no personality. Vegas has a multitude of colors, but City Center is just beige. Vegas is a Tuxedo, City Center is a pair of brown shoes.
Vegas shines bright like a Diamond..............City Center doesn't shine, it's dull and faded.
    Long live the Boardwalk!

    I want a Put-Put Golf course.
MGM could even tie it in to Shadow Creek by calling it Shadow Stream or Shadow Brook.

The rat maze construction area around the old Harmon can be a bit crowded and not pleasant to walk through so I don't care what they put there as long as they do it quickly.

If Vegas is a tuxedo, than the Boardwalk was the armpit sweat stain of said tuxedo. Thankfully Vegas has been dry cleaned and the pit stain is gone for good.

The bulk of the people here are some of the cheapest people in the world.

Not sure if I'd base multi million dollar business plans on "the general consensus around here".

The strip won't survive without making it more like DT?

The strip thrives precisely because it's nothing like DT.

    Ultra Lounge

Na, they'll put another pointless ultra-Lounge with $2k bottle service, and further forget that Las Vegas is a Gaming Mecca.

Must give the Cali. Trust fund babies something to do!
since they don't know how to Gamble.

I think the sensible thing to do would to put in a complex (3 or 4 stories) of mid to upscale bars and restaurants with big balconies of strip views and somehow create a sensible flow-through to both Crystals and the Aria casino from LVB.

Better $2K bottle service than $3K Golf fees at Shadow Creek? See thread "PGP? Very interesting" in Comps sub forum.

Everybody has their priorities, you and I would spend hundreds of thousands on women but I would get pissed at overpaying for certain mundane things like cable. My cable bill is 350 bucks a month!

I guess sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet. And it's news to me that a good business plan is to spend multi millions boring people to death!
