Playboy weekend, UFC 189, NBA Summer League, and Degen get together in July

Are you going to end up at the summer league games before you go? We sat in the regular seats last year, and wondering if the VIP seats are worth it since we will be there for the whole day... Thoughts?

I'm in Vegas for another day. Stupid me got to the airport late. Missed my flight so next flight is in 9 hours so guess more time to gamble.

I wish I had a comeback but was not going to happen.

Had dinner at lakeside with broncofn and was going to hit the tables but backed out as I was going thru food coma.

Went back to Cosmopolitan And just crashed.

Alarm went off. Got to airport. And on the plane now.

Upgraded to 1st class on the way home.

Had a great time with my friends. Was a lot of fun but ready to go home.

Broncofn was amazing at the tables.

I did not have the same luck.

Natedog bailed me out of a big loss only to have me donk it back.

New one for us. Natedog and I played baccarat. Then slots and finally. Ultima Texas Holdem.


Final number. -$34k. For the trip.

Packer too bad we didn't get to hit the craps table with 2X odds.

For me I'll stick to Craps in Shreveport Bossier City. For Craps 100X odds. And better blackjack rules and payout.

For Baccarat. Nothing can touch Vegas. So I should just play baccarat in Vegas.

Aria and I have parted ways. They are going to pull any and all offers. So looks like I'm not going there anymore,, but I was not planning on it anyways.

....perhaps, but had he simply hit his 8 & drawn the 3rd 4, he would have stayed... other player hits (or non-hits) would have occured as they did & the dealer would have drawn a 7 to her 14.

PS - with DAS permitted, splitting 4s against 4 is the correct play.

Obviously it worked out this time, but splitting is not the correct play. By hitting in that situation you have a positive expectation of nearly 5% of your initial bet. By splitting, you still have a positive expectation, but it drops to 0.3% (this calculation is for 6 deck DAS, S17 which is the game they were playing). That's a pretty huge difference - splitting is more than 12X worse than hitting. If you did it every time, it would cost you nearly all of your expected value on this hand (which would increase your overall blackjack losses).

Pphold, have a safe trip. Sucks you never got that run we talked about. I'm coming to Shreveport for the 100x odds! Sadly I will never play craps again at Wynn. It was fun and a he'll of a roll for years. Oh well. I'm a little gun shy to bet big at baccarat. That's the game I played from 1981 til 2011. 2, 3, 4k averages and I lost 100s of 1000s over that time. Aria and Shreveport here I come.
