Bally's indigo vs. jubilee rooms

We can get comped rooms at Harrah's, Flamingo, and Bally's for our upcoming trip. After reading much on the internet, we have settled on Bally's. The free room is the indigo room. We can upgrade to the jubilee room for $10/ night. Have the indigo rooms been updated recently? Anyone stayed in the indigo rooms lately? Should we pay the extra $50 for the 5 nights.
Feel free to comment on whether Bally's is the best choice also. Our plans aren't set in stone yet.

Also, wifi is a biggie for us. Is it better at one or the other of the three.

I like Bally's and think it is a fine place to stay. My last trip I was supposed to be in the Jubilee room but when I checked in they put me in Indigo, the room was comped so I didn't complain too much. The Indigo rooms are definitely dated but clean enough. That being said, from what I have read here about the difference I would have easily paid $10 per night extra for the nicer room.

 

The Indigo rooms are not updated but large & well kept. They will be in the North Tower so you could get some noise from Drai's late at night. These rooms are also closest to the casino/pool/sportsbook. The new Jubilee rooms are wonderful.....love the bathrooms with the large walk in shower (no bathtub). You can get a nice view of the Eiffel Tower & Bellagio fountains. The bedding is great and love the linens....very high thread count. Some folks said they heard Chateau nite club noise but we heard nothing.....

 

I stayed in both rooms during a trip in March. The Indigo rooms are a bit dated, and the view from my room was an empty lot with Ellis Island in the background (great eats, another thread). They moved us on a free upgrade for the next 2 nights to a Jubilee room. About the same size, but the Jubilee rooms had a mini fridge and a coffee maker, but ours only had a shower, no tub. I would maybe ask for a complementary upgrade when you get there, or try the $20 trick, if that works, you saved $30, if not, Indigo is clean and a decent place to sleep.

 

I've stayed in both over the past 6 months. Indigo is what everyone has said it is. Jubillee were remodeled last year and are shades of gold and red. Views of the Paris balloon and the strip are only available from the Jubillee tower. Jubillee puts you next to the "Nosh" ( Ballys all night snack stand), Keno, and valet (main) entrance of Ballys and the poker room. Indigo puts you next to casino and the sportsbook, food court, spa/fitness center, Flamingo road (The Cromwell etc) and strip mall (all in the 1st floor of Ballys). The towers are basically at the opposite ends of the casino!!

Both are clean and housekeeping will be knocking on your door by 10 a.m.You can't go wrong with either (IMHO). Dont sweat the small stuff and save your upgrade $$ unless you just have to have a view or remodeled room. Ill be in Jubillee tower in 2 days (4/29-5/4 comped) !!

 

If it's just $10 for the upgrade, do it. Jubilee rooms are much nicer. The cleaner/newer bathroom is well worth the extra $. The only thing I don't like about the Jubilee Tower is the elevators. Two out of the 3 elevators are always while the Indigo Tower has 6 working elevators.

Notes:
1. even though the room is comped, you still have to pay the BS resort fees ($25 + tax = $28).
2. Not all rooms are facing the Eiffel Tower & Bellagio fountains; some rooms are facing the Cromwell.

 

I've never stayed in the Jubilee tower, but I concur with Champster's overall assessment. It might depend a lot on where you think you'll be going. Ellis Island for cheap steak and $5 blackjack? Indigo Tower. Bellagio and other swanky spots on the other side of the street? Jubilee Tower. Bally's Sportsbook? Indigo Tower. Etc.

The single worst food item I've ever ordered in Vegas was a sandwich at Nosh, by the way... otherwise, I'm a big fan of Bally's!

 

Have stayed in both. Prefer the Indigo Tower. More elevators make it easier to get up and down. Elevators also go to the lower level where the pool, food court, sports book, spa, and monorail are located. No long walk across the casino to the escalator. Wife loves tub to soak in and relax and Indigo Tower has tub/shower combo. I am not in need of a view, but am in need of sleep so I usually ask for a high room facing Ellis Island so I do not get the club noise from Drai's. If you get a Jubilee room facing Paris, you will get the noise from the Chateau. Both towers are about the same distance to the walkway leading to Paris and the parking garage.

 

I booked a September trip today. TR offered 2 nights at Bally's and it let me select Jubilee at no charge (except for the $28 a night BS fee that jammer mentioned) so I took it. Never stayed at Bally's before, so I'm looking forward to checking the room out. After that, Orleans.

 

We stayed there last month. We stayed in the Jubilee tower which was nice, remodeled in a vintage art-moderne style, except that housekeeping forgot to leave us soap, towels, etc.

Our friends booked indigo, and were upgraded to an indigo king suite, which was probably about 1200 s.f., for nothing but a smile and friendly attitude. THey were pretty beside themselves. The suite had a giant bathtub in the bedroom and another room that was completely covered in mirrors for (a bridal party? strippers?) It was so big it felt like an effort for them to find their phone, etc. The furnishings and decor were definitely a bit long in the tooth.

 

Does anyone have any experience with being upgraded free as a Diamond card member at Ballys? What kind of room did you get? Do these rooms have coffee makers in them?

 

i used the $20 trick last week and got a jubilee room
its nice for the price but the noise from the club is bad

 

Stayed there in April for four nights. Liked the Room a lot, usually stay at Paris. I even liked their pool better, quiet, don't have to fight for a chair, clean, and sun. A walk though to get there. We were on the 73rd floor, beautiful view, large shower, no tub, but loved the shower compared to Paris. We always stayed at Paris, but they haven't changed their slots, downgraded their VP, and it's always congested. There's good and bad at both, but would definitely stay there again.

 

The North Tower is where the Indigo rooms are. I've always booked a comp Indigo room. When I check in I ask for an upgrade to a "Diamond" floor in the North Tower. Love those rooms. They look like they have been remodeled in the last 4 years. It is an easy upgrade to get.
But for 10/night I would take the Jubilee room.

 

Joe, i'm booked in Indigo Tower in a couple of weeks which i have stayed at many times as well as the South Tower before they were remodeled into the Jubilee rooms.
Do the Diamond floor rooms have a Fridge?

 

Booked Jubilee (comped) for October. Heard good things about it vs Indigo. The club noise sound just a bit unnerving but we'll be there Tuesday through Thursday so hopefully it's not as bad as the weekend. Even though I spend minimal time in the room, I do appreciate nice accomodations for when I am there. It feels lousy to come "home" to a sucky room if the BR takes a significant hit.

 

Unless things have changed, your bigger concern may be the music from the bazaar shops. When we stayed in the Jubilee tower in Feb. that never seemed to quit, and the shops weren't officially opened yet! So unless someone confirms otherwise, I'd probably ask for a room facing away from the shops and take my chances on Chateau nightclub. At least they stop at 3 am! Ear plugs were a must for my gf there. Me too if I would have sober...lol

The Jubilee rooms are definitely newer/nicer in appearance, but if I would stay at Ballys again, I actually go back to the indigo tower I think and not bother to upgrade. Before the Jubilee upgrade, we would $20 trick our way to the diamond floor in the north (now indigo) tower. That was good enough for us.

Bally's also went through a VP downgrade just like most of CET this year. Ugh.

 

What is the difference between the Indigo Tower Diamond Floor (27 and up), and the Indigo Tower mini suite now? I think i have stayed at the North Tower (before Indigo) on a high floor around 27, but it looked the same except for the view, but it didn't have a fridge. I know they both are larger and i heard the mini suite does have a fridge. I'm booked in the Indigo classic room and might tip for an upgrade in the Jubilee Tower. But i wouldn't mind the Indigo suites, especially if the Diamond floor does have a Fridge.
I'm planning on using a $40 tip.......if i can't get the Jubilee room, and both Indigo rooms come with a fridge, should i ask for a Diamond room or a mini-suite room? They are all priced the same, so upgrading is about equal as far as dollars.

 

I did the same thing for my last trip. When I checked in they said they only had an Indigo room and since it was on a comp there wasn't anything they could do.
