Save your money to place on the odds bet.

 

AFTER the Pass Line (or Don't Pass Line), the Field would be the next best.
Ignore everything in the center of the table...
After the Field bet...
Place Bet 6 or 8 (in $6 increments)
After that, there's no (mathematically) decent bets until you get up to $25 (Buy the 4 or 10, if the casino allows "Vig" to be paid on the win, for $1)

OBVIOUSLY, the Odds bet is the (mathematically) best on the table, but that goes without saying.

I love me a 'yo on the come out. Probably not the best bet, but man when you hit the $5 'yo collect $70 and press to $10, then hit it for $150 it feels good.

 

None of them are "good" bets. They all have a house edge. So I would agree with the comment above that you should save your money to make an odds wager. Otherwise, don't worry about what is a "good" bet and instead make the bet you enjoy

 

The three way is a fun bet with a low price.

 

If I am shooting the dice, I will always put a "crap check" wager out to insure my pass line wager. I know center bets are the worst on the table, but I find that throwing out a 4 dollar crap check when betting green on the passline helps ease the pain of those statistically impossible runs of 3 or more craps numbers during the come out cycle.

If I am come betting and have more than 1 come bet, I will add the Any Seven wager to insure my come bets so they will remain up if the 7 shows up during the come out cycle. Again, not a good wager, but if either myself or the shooter is throwing repeaters and I have loaded up all the boxes with come bets, I want to be able to keep those come bets up after the come out roll(s).

 

Exactly! Just gamble however you enjoy, no matter what, it's a losing proposition. haha.

 

I like the $4 horn bet on the come out roll if I don't do a $2 C&E.

 

Gotta love a two way yo...get the dealers in the game at the craps table is my philosophy, that way I can get shit-faced and let them press my bets for me

We all know center bets are high house advantage. We also know they are fun. Further, some of my most profitable sessions were fueled by center line wins and pressing and more wins,

So the problem is how to manage the attraction. I do it this way:

I only bet center bets after a front line winner. If I have $10 pass line and $20 odds, I will win at least $34 on a made point. I will take $10 and bet "Ten-action: hi-lo-yo 2 each; hop the hard ways one each"

If I hit a hi or a low, I collect the $38 and turn my hi-low yo into a $20 horn. If the yo hits, I collect $8 and bet the $20 horn. If the horn hits again, I press up $20 each time. (MY best progression got this up to a $120 horn, hitting the $20, $40, $60, $80 and $120 along the way.)+

If my original "ten action" hits a hardway, I say "31 and down". I take $20 and bet the hardways (allday) $5 each and collect the $11. If I lose a hardway due to a soft way, I replace it with $3. If any hardway hits, I press all 4 up a nickel.

With either of these wagers, I am betting with "won" money and pressing up further with more "won" money.

I very very rarely bet any center wagers except as above. This gives me the fun of the upside with some self-imposed discipline of not throwing too much in the center.

 

I track repeating 7's.

After a 7-out, I will make a bet on the Iron Cross on the come out (250 on 5, 300 on 6, 300 on 8, and 175 on the field, all bets Working).
This way, I win 175 on any number except the 7, and 350 on the 2 and 12 (or 525 if it Pays Triple).
Win or lose, I don't make another bet on THIS shooter's come out roll, so only betting on the immediate roll after a 7-out

If the 7 comes out, I remember this and I wait for the next come out roll after a 7-out.
This next time after a 7-out, I bet the same way as above, but I will double my bet to 500, 600, 600 and 350 on the field.
Again, only betting on the immediate roll after the 7-out.
If I win, I wait until the next 7-out and I repeat, for 2 or 3 wins, then I go back to the original 250,300,300, 175 stakes.
If the 7 comes out AGAIN, I remember this, and I wait for the next come out roll after a 7-out.

If there have been back to back 7-out followed by a 7, I will triple or quadruple the stakes, basically daring the dice to do it 3 times in a row.

 

Daring the dice is not something you want to do..I've seen them do anything and everything aside from roll by themselves...

 

You are so right, and I payed the hard way (pun unintentional) on my Halloween trip to Vegas, as you will see when I post my TR.

But isn't that the essence of gambling? Daring the gods or God or fate, to go ahead and take your money?
Every bet you make is daring the dice to do something that will make you lose that bet.

To spice things up I'll Place any two outside numbers and let them "work". If one hits I'll bring it down to the 6 and 8 if I have a Pass Line bet. Otherwise parlay it as the Point.

 

I had the problem at Golden Gate - when the damn music was playing so loud the incompetent dancer/dealer could not book it right. Got me thrown out when I complained.

 

Exactly. I usually put them on the line for $5 with me whenever I'm shooting, but the scattered two-way yos are the most fun.
