Took my 3 hours 40 mins to get here. My normal time when I leave early. When I bought this car they said 38 mpg on the highway.
I'm guessing cruise set on 85 affects government guideline.

Yet to check in. Going off piste.

Still not bad at 31.8 mpg. better than my 13.4mpg.


I need to try the ribs at Ellis Island.

The first time I saw the sign was also the first time I rented a car. Up until then I thought it was a hoax.

 

Especially if you were going uphill at 85 MPH, the I-15 drive is anything but flat.

And what did you hit at EI to turn $20 into $135?

It's not Wynn. But after breakfast I'd be interested in trying the BBQ. I wouldn't go there to gamble, food is different animal. I'd appreciate other opinions on the BBQ

 

The BBQ ribs are great. We try to get to EI just for the ribs every trip

IMO the chicken is just OK.

 

Nice start at Ellis, hopefully this is a good sign. I've noticed in my wife's Corolla the mpg really drops off with speeds above 72-73, but it still beats my Envoy.

So my room wasn't ready on check in. Ugh. Played some slots and dropped a quick 800. Walked over to Aria to register for the slot tourney courtesy of myvegas. Registered and then played some 25 cent Cleopatra II. I had to put in 300 but finally got ten spins with a retrigger.

 

I feel a bit snake bit at the moment. Will explain after I recharge my phone. I stopped by Sportsbook earlier and invested a little over 700. DET is first up and they're losing. Also have LAA, packers, and over a million points in OR/AZ game tonight. Disaster looms.

 

Ok, I'm in room now. So I got to NYNY and the people in my room had requested late check out for 1pm. I had told my host I'd be here at 11 am (actually got here at noon) and was told no problem. Uh, problem. So I checked my crap and started to gamble. Lost 800 in short order and with sports bets I waslike 1500 light in the wallet and no room. I just know its going to be one of those trips. I got the call the room was ready at 1.45 but I had to walk over to Aria for the slot tourney. So still haven't showered and need a shave badly. At M-Life desk at Aria I'm sure the guy was looking for security to throw the fat homeless guy out until I handed him my platinum card. Any way I had an ok hit on Cleo II and then it was tourney time. There are 8 machines and there were 14 players. 1st gets 500 FP, 2nd 2 tix to Zarkana, 3rd 2 buffet. I'm in session 2. Woman wins first session with 132,000 points. Guess where they seat the bum. You guest it. What are the odds that machine spits out 2 big scores in a row? Long story short I was last. Another ugh. Came back to NYNY lost another 100 on Zeus and now I'm going to have a cleansing spa bath. Forgot to mention they upgraded me to Marquis Suite. Will post pics when I wash off all the bad juju.

Good start to your TR and still plenty of time to get that money back but it does suck to get in the hole on the first day and trying to get back to even

Don't sweat the slow auspicious start! 'tis only a flesh wound.

 

It's a three minute round. Typical tourney slots wilds cherries and face cards. You just bang the spin button and sometimes something pops up on touch screen and you hit it for bonus points, I only did it because I heard there were usually 5-8 people. Those odds seemed worth it. Not 1/14 chance. Never mind, it's over. Onward and upward.
