I went to XS on Saturday night and walked outside to the pool area to check it out but then I had to wait in line to get back inside. People were forced to wait in line outside for well over an hour. It was high 40's so clearly they were trying to prevent everyone from crowding the inside. There weren't enough heat lamps either. Were you aware that XS did this trick?

Right but they do it without warning and then you're stuck out there for well over an hour. They should at least get an adequate number of heat lamps outside.

Shortly after I got back in I asked one of the staff where the bathroom was and he said it was outside. Is this correct? This means that unless you know this in advance (or don't drink) no one is going to be inside for more than about 2 hours.

That happens at XS no matter the weather. I don't think I've ever actually gone back inside once I head out by the pool. Once it gets a little later in the night it's pretty much impossible.

I went to XS for Halloween 2014 and had no problem wandering around between the areas. When did they start blocking off re-entry?

U need a hand stamp to bypass the queue to get back inside, if I recall.

I had all the hand stamps. They weren't letting anyone back in. Not even hot chicks. Firm policy.

It's pretty arbitrary when the start blocking it off. It almost seems like it's at the bouncer's discretion. The only way to really guarantee no issues is to reserve a table.
