So trip #26 is next month and I am staying at the Wynn for the first time. I already have reservations at Sinatra for one of the nights. I am trying to decide on what to do for a nice dinner one other night and a more casual option for our first night. I am leaning toward SW for steak for the nice dinner. I know doing the Italian place and the steak place are pretty cliche and boring, but that it what I like.

I can be talked out of this and maybe even talked into going to V/P for a nice dinner, I just am not as familiar with the options there. Not looking for anything too far from Wynn.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

I can’t argue with SW – one of my absolute favorites in Vegas.

For casual, I like Wazuzu quite a bit. The La Cave brunch is very good and fairly reasonable (though you can’t use resort credit).

Agree that you cannot really go wrong with SW. If you want different, I think Mizumi is very good too. For the casual night, Wazuzu is very good. Allegro and Charlie's Bar are also decent options

SW or Wing Lei for upscale…..if you want to throw entertainment in the mix, Delilah.

    Definitely recommend Wazuzu for casual.

Charlie’s has been really decent for casual. The nachos are a delicious cheesy huge portion and the burger has hit the spot more than a couple of times.

Sinatra is in my top 5 of all places I have been to in LV. Will be there again in July. Just love the food and casual, yet elegant, atmosphere.

Personal choice for steaks, but I would scrap SW, and walk next door to Cut. SW is great, but still a notch below Cut, imo.

    Tableau...best breakfast spot in Vegas.

I’m on a Mother Wolf kick right now. If you’re willing to leave the property I’d do that over Sinatra. I’ve based two trips just on going to dinner there recently, it’s really that good.

Sinatra and SW are great choices. For a more casual night, I'd give Red8 a try. It's Wynncore's casual Chinese and the food and portions are great. Still a nice sit down meal.

Thanks everyone, I have reservations at Sinatra and SW for the nice dinners. We will figure out the first more casual night later. As an aside, when I was doing my research I saw a thread here talking about how hard it was to get reservations at theses places. I had NO problem reserving online about 6 weeks out at either place.

Wazuzu is our favorite "non fancy" place. The food and service are fine dining, but the atmosphere is relaxed and non-pretentious. For breakfast, lunch or brunch, Tableau.

The buffet is a good buffet, and Terrace Pointe can be nice, but service is usually slower there than you might like for a casual place. Terrace Pointe is not open for dinner.

That Snake River Farms Wagyu Sirloin might be one of the tastiest, most flavorful steaks I've ever had in my life.

Go across the street to El Segundo Sol. Great Mexican food. Although I love Allegro and Sinatras I've found most of the restaurants at Wynn are ridiculously over priced for the food—including the buffet. I guess you're paying for the service, which is outstanding, I'll admit. Guessing my opinion will be in the minority.

I think when you’re at Wynn, or in a Wynn restaurant, you are paying for Wynn. Look around you-it’s the best in Las Vegas and not cheap to run. Sinatra isn’t your favorite Italian place in a store front at home. I’ll quibble with you gently about ‘ridiculously overpriced.’ Compared to 2018?

Having said that, our senior citizen brains have not kept up with inflation in general, and especially in Las Vegas for tourists. We’ve been stunned by our Wynn trip overall costs the last couple of years, in the restaurants and everywhere else. But when we ask, "compared to what?," we’re not surprised when we leave Wynn for Mon Ami or Spago, with prices similar to Wynn. We think ‘ridiculously overpriced’ because our memories can’t catch up. Four years ago we built a house and it’s now worth about 75% more than we paid for it-in our minds it would be more than we’d want to pay to buy it from ourselves, maybe ‘ridiculously overpriced.’ Last year we bought Mrs. Johnny a new German SUV that was more than half again more expensive than her last similar car. I was amazed at the cost-would have bought my family house when I graduated law school. Ridiculously overpriced? In my memory addled brain, certainly. Wynn is the same to me.

So, ‘ridiculously overpriced’ as compared to what? A food court restaurant at Excalibur, or a fine dining restaurant in any top luxury hotel in any major American or European city in the world?

If we go downtown at home to eat at the Ritz Carlton we pay Wynn prices, which for our suburban lifestyle is ‘ridiculously overpriced.’ But these restaurants are full, so go figure.

if you want the very best in a big city, you will now pay a shockingly high price everywhere in the world.

Well, my idea of fine dining is an oak barbecued steak with all the trimmings from a place like the Hitching Post, Far Western, The Swiss, or Jockos—all local to me and far better than anything I've ever had at Wynn or anywhere else in Vegas, for that matter. I do agree with you about the setting—the Wynn is spectacular and I really enjoy staying at that place—I just love sitting at a table in Allegro's with my rigatoni and Pinot and people watching.

I'm just saying that the food is better for the price at El Segundo Sol. I've eaten the overpriced meals at all the Wynn restaurants and last time I was there in April I walked down to Peppermill and definitely enjoyed my $30 breakfast way more than the $60 breakfast at Tableau, though, again, at Wynn you're paying for the setting which is amazing.

Maybe I'm out of line. You're still traveling the world, I gather, and it's way more expensive than when I did it—I understand. I can still remember paying only about 50 pounds for a stellar Indian dinner for two just a few blocks from where we saw Les Miserables at the Old Vic.

Again, my apologies, and please don't accuse me of "trolling." It was not my intent and the powers that be will 86 me from this site if found guilty.
