I like the cw showing lots of cleavage at the Cal also.

Actually price drives a lot of where I stay. I don't mind staying at the El Cortez if the price were right but now with resort fees I may as well stay at the Cal or MSS since I usually like to gamble there. I used to stay at the LVC because of the cheap rooms, I remember getting rooms for less than$15 or $20 a night. I didn't mind the "dumpy" rooms or atmosphere as I just use the rooms as a place to sleep and shower. Nowadays I can't find rooms for less than $30 (including tax and resort fees).

I also like the parking situation at the Cal and MSS, so easy to get in and out of the place, since I rent a car that is also a factor where I stay. I don't like the Fremont and GG as much because you have to valet (no self parking). DTG parking isn't that easy either. When I stayed at the 4q's years ago they charged hotel guests for parking.

Atmosphere also makes a difference, that's why I don't like the GG or D since I don't like the loud atmosphere, but then if they had the cheapest nightly rates including all fees then I would consider staying there and gambling elsewhere.

Of course if the price were right I would stay on the strip (I remember staying at the IP/Quad during renovations) but I am partial to gambling downtown.

My trips are generally 6 or more nights so I stay at 2 properties per visit, and sometimes more. The Palazzo is probably my preferred hotel for all the reasons that Rocky Balboa mentioned. I rarely leave the property after I get settled in.

My other favorite is at the opposite end of the spectrum. 4 Queens is really growing on me. I love the bartenders and the vp options, and the proximity to all of the Downtown properties (and Dunkin Donuts in the Fremont). And you can't beat the Happy Hour at Chicago Brewery. I started my Downtown life at MSS but 4 Queens has won me over.

    We like Bellagio's Casino but...

Wynn has been our Home Resort for quite some time. I enjoy the Rooms, Casino, Food and Spa.
I've never stayed at Encore but I will one of these days. I think I like the Spa over at Encore better.

I receive emails from Host up and down the Strip. I used a Host once years ago at Luxor.

I don't have a specific hotel I would call a regular. I just tend to do streaks at one place or another. What they tend to have in common are rooms on the larger size with bathrooms at a decent size as well. If the bed is comfy, I am more likely to come back. Good coffee shops and a nice variety of restaurants are also a plus. Casino is important but If I am really fixated on a room, I will figure out a way to make the casino work for me. For that reason, I have done repeat visits at places as varied as Rio, Caesars, Bally's and now Gold Coast and Orleans. I hate to stay in rooms smaller than Gold Coast.

After the next time I go in a week-and-a-half, I'll have to try one of these other non-CET properties. The cost is probably not going to be an issue as I hope I can get the room comped, but since it will be a new property, it will have to be on the back-end. I'll have to look through this thread again to see what people like about their location, and I'll probably choose one of these places and see how it is. Thanx for the inputs!

Agreed. This has been my go to hotel as well. The dealers and pitbosses are very tolerant of my drunk ass.

The bacc is usually pretty good too.

Bally's has become my home base. I am comfortable with the layout, like the crowd, rooms are easy to get to, the elevators work just fine, I know the bartenders, and the great location. I am COMP a the mid tier Caesars props and have tried them all except for LINQ. I may give the LINQ a try one of these days, but I honestly don't see me moving again. I have stayed at a ton of different hotels over the years and I think just based on the fact that I know every inch of the property and I enjoy the rooms is enough to hold me there. You never know though???

I'm a Harrahs(with an H) guy... Great location, comped, friends with several of the bar fenders and I seem to do reasonably well there at the tables...

I consider Bellagio my home casino, although I will typically only stay there on one of my 2 trips to Vegas each year as I do like to try other places. I get great comps from them. I like the hotel - will be heading there in 4 days, looking forward to seeing the renovations to the Bellagio suite I will be staying in. I really love the food options there. But the biggest thing is that I love the casino. I like the machines that they have, like the "vibe" of the casino, including the music they play in there. Love the fact that they have some of the older machines I like to play. Also the B has a great location.

I almost LOL in that I have to agree with Shifter on this one. More on the first part but the second is right up there.

I'm extremely partial to the Hard Rock due to location, quality of room product (HRH Tower) and service. My visits entail many business meetings during the day time. Being off-strip at this location, I can get from my room to my vehicle in valet quickly and head to various valley locations far faster than when I stayed at a strip property. I made the decision to pretty much stay at the Hard Rock back around 2009 when they were just opening their HRH and Paradise Towers. The quality of room was and still is very high for the money, the elevators haul a*# and the food options meet my needs. Concentrating my stay and small play in the evenings has been of immense benefit to me. I know many of the folks there by name, the valet guys treat me like a rock-star and the check-in folks in VIP often upgrade me to some really, really cool specialty-suites since most of my stay is Tuesday-Thursdays. I still make it a point to have lunches and or dinners around town and enjoy visiting other properties to keep my "horizons" broadened, but the good folks at the Hard Rock treat me very well and I'm happy!

I love the Wynn but no steam showers in the salons is a draw back. They should have done like the Skylofts in their redo. Like Wynn did them at Bellagio.
    Aria's are nice.

    My two go-to hotels are:

Delano - Love the rooms, pool area, decent food options, and spa. Hate the location though.
Vdara - Love the suites (especially for the price), but for what's directly onsite is a little lacking for me at times.

I need a good pool area, a good selection of food options (quick, cheap-ish, but not crappy food), and a nice room. A suite for a good price is always a plus in my book.

Over the years, I've had several...most notably - Stardust... that love affair lasted from the early 80s up through their closing.
I won't bore y'all (again!) with the things I loved about the 'Dust... but --->

I did Mirage for a while after the Stardust closed, but the vibe never fit me... I played around a bit with Flamingo & IP & Harrah's...and all of them disappointed me.
Finally, I figured I'd try the Fremont downtown...after all - they were Boyd, just like the Stardust, and surely they'd honor all of my points that I'd built up...right? (Wrong!)
Still - I kind of liked the feel of the place...loved all of the $5 & $10 two-deck...loved that I could casino-hop so easily.

Now-a-days? Plaza has gotten the bulk of my downtown stays over the past year or two, but I still give Nugget, Golden Gate, 4-Queens & 'theD' a bit of business as well. Depends on the offer.

Lately - I've become a real fan of Gold Coast for my solo-trips... as was posted up-thread - they just seem to actually appreciate my business more than other properties. Great blackjack there sure helps too.

Nice, big room with comfy bed and big bathroom
Fun, clean and aesthetically pleasing casino with good drink service (hot CWs don't hurt:wink2:)
    Good food options
    Decent BJ and VP
    Friendly staff

My usual haunt is Wynn which provides me with all of the above. I also like the proximity to V/P (where I like to eat, and until recently, play) and the fact that Encore's casino has a completely different vibe from Wynn's.

I like the bathroom layout in the PH Resort Vista and its location at the end of the hall along with it being free really helps.
PH also has a great location on the strip.

I would say Wynncore. It's not that the majority of my stays have been there but I have stayed there more than any other property. I feel very relaxed there and I feel away from the normal grind. The rooms are great and they treat you well. When I played limit, and limit was still spread at the Wynn poker room, I liked playing there the most. It's a beautiful room, they treat you well and the CW are beautiful. But I am now moving to NL and they only spread 1-3 and higher and I've heard the player pool is not the easiest.

    Wynn and Encore are elegant.

I will choose different places depending on who I am staying with, but generally I don't like being nickled and dimed (looking at you, resort and internet fees), I don't want to be in a place where I am forced to spend > $20 on breakfast, and I need to find a deal. Neither my wife nor I like being fussed over and I definitely don't want to pay for being fussed over so a 3 star place is fine. Even though a 5 star room in Vegas is usually cheap for what you get, I don't really like higher end hotels because they seem to have high prices for just about everything that you might need. I also always drive to vegas or rent a car so location isn't really a constraint for me, but I prefer a place where I dont have to walk a mile to my car. Also I'm not crazy about crowds, especially d*****y crowds. I'm a low rolling gambler (< $100 a day) so I always pay cash for my rooms and look for the best deals I can find. Thus I usually stay off strip.

With the guys: downtown, wherever is cheapest. Most recently Main St. station.

With my wife: anywhere, usually off strip. Most recently the Eastside Cannery, but we stayed one night at Ballys on that trip because of a promo with free show tickets. I thought the cannery was nicer.

With my wife and kids: a place with a relatively spacious room with 2 queen beds and a pool, or sometimes we will rent a timeshare at one of the timeshare resorts if someone desperately offers to rent their timeshare on eBay. It is nice to have a kitchen when we come for several days. Often the Orleans - nice kid-friendly pool, inexpensive restaurants, bowling, kids club, lots of other kids, welcoming to families, laid back vibe, nobody hassles me about bringing a cooler down to the pool. Alternatives include Tuscany Suites, South Point, etc.

Flying solo: as close to free as possible with a promo code, preferably near a poker game with lousy players. Give me a bed and a shower and I'll be fine. I'll have a car so I can leave as soon as I wake up if necessary.

Riders... I am looking up info on the SkyLofts right now... you're staying your next trip? Do you stay there most of the time? I think I'd like a break from Palazzo and I am considering making a switch or at least trying other places out.

Is it actually attached to MGM? Top floors? My concern is... is it a hike to the casino? restaurants? Do you play at MGM?

Thanks in advance for answering my million questions :)

I guess it's a formula of pool awesomeness, gaming, and affordability. I really like Cosmo, but it's pricey, no poker room, and i don't win much there. Right now I'm comped at CET properties, but I imagine they will eventually figure out what a low roller I am, and will pull back. I rarely do well on slots there and I find the casinos too old and smokey. We generally like Aria, good drink service, Twilight Zone slot was still there as of last visit, and I get a good rate from them. I see my future visits at Aria - the kicker being that they have a poker room that isn't on life support! And the pools are great!
