    lol

    Sounds like a Trial Baloon

Just like 10 Years ago, they were seeking Players input about Black Jack:
"would you stop playing Black Jack, if the payouts were reduced from 3/2 to 6/5?"

People pay for market research, & I will not put it past anyone to float a
few freebie "Trial Balloons" even here.

    Another Trial balloon "resort fees"
[STRIKE]Just like during the 2007 Bust, they had a hard time giving away rooms.
So they did a deal with the Devil & the Aggregators were full boat,
now they hate the deal & Crawfishing by placing /slimey bastard
    "resort fees" on room charges.
Maybe we should have all stayed home & let these "Zombie Companies" go out of business & be purchased for
pennies on the dollar by someone that knows how to run a successful gaming/hotel company.[/STRIKE]
    Never mind no one cares....
/don't keep score & everyone gets a trophy in Merica!

I've never had a comped room so it wouldn't make a bit of difference to me LOL

How do you not get comps? I hear people say this a lot in these threads and I don't understand how it happens. I play maybe a couple hundred a day and win a fair amount and haven't paid for a CET room in years. (beyond the occasional resort fee I can't talk my way out of) Do you check online? I have sun-thurs and a lot of weekend comps on CET all the time.

If comped rooms went by the wayside for me I would still go to Vegas. I enjoy the city too much to completely remove it from my rotation of vacations.

Now...if comped rooms stopped at my local (Louisiana) places? Yeah then I would not pay for rooms there. I haven't ever paid directly for a room at any of the Lake Charles places.

I don't get comps at CET. I maybe put in $200-$300 coin-in at VP per day (20 to 30 Tier Points). My ADT is a joke.

Well, what are the rooms costing?
Each time we plan a trip to another location we find even the most basic room can be 300-400 a night.
Add that up and its a lot which is why we tend to fall back and do a Vegas trip instead.
If the comped rooms went a way and the rates were cheap then not an issue.
If the rooms cost 300-400 like most other places then it would make sense for us to go to those other places and save on air fare.

If comps were abolished, I would still go to Vegas but I'd probably go less often and gamble much less. It's not that I chase comps. It's just that part of the fun for me is being treated well for my gambling dollar by staying in suites and eating nice meals. If comps went away or were significantly reduced, then the value of my gambling dollar is substantially less and I would play accordingly.

I have no idea. I get offers for reduced rates, but I think everyone who stays somewhere gets those.

On my last trip I stopped at the MLife desk at The Mirage and asked if I qualified for anything. The lady said she would let me keep my gold card for head of the buffet line purposes and offered me a cup of coffee.

Same here. There are many casinos that don't require an airline ticket to which we could get to in the same amount of time, 6-8 under two hours.
