Evan Williams Bottled In Bond. The white label stuff. Ambrosia, and a miracle considering the black label is pure paint thinner.

Last nights weekend finisher, first time for this particular Auchentoshan and it is definitely out of the norm for them by far the smokiest and peatiest I have ever had from them.

I had a really hard time finding it too. None of the Arizona Total Wines had it, and the only place I could find it that was relatively close was in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I was driving over to Cali for a charity event and made a detour by the Total Wine and bought it. Only bottle they had, had to pull it out of the glass case actually.

It is my special occasion scotch, have had only three drams total in the year I have owned it...

My wallet hated it, but I bought the other 4 pack I wanted from Dark Horse Brewing at Binny's in Champaign.

Dangerous at 12%. Sooooo balanced and smooth.

    (12%; 4.75 sips)

I envy you Ninkasi is one of my favorite breweries and we do not get them here, the Dawn of the Red and Tricerahops are two of the best in their respective styles I have ever had.

We have some Dawn of the Red in the beer fridge. Ever had Terminal Gravity (Enterprise, northeastern Oregon)?

Unfortunately no, we have few West Coast brewers who ship here outside the big dogs like SN and Rogue, mainly due to our ignorant 19th century refrigeration laws we are looking at getting changed the November. I really need some West Coast traders as mine are all East and Midwest.

Most of us aren't really searching for dusty threads, we're just having drinks.

    What else?
The weather has turned a little cooler, so I'm loving this Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Manhattan tonight.

Nice!!! That was my standard brew when I lived in WI. Wish I could get it in FL. Anyone know if Old Style is available anywhere in Vegas?

Just finished a bottle of Mike's Hard Glacier Berry. Moving on to a dram of 1792 Small Batch bourbon.
