Went past it at 1 am last Monday night (Nov. 14) and the music was blaring out onto the strip.
There weren't any crowds spilling out onto the sidewalk or anything.
My Lyft driver was talking about it the next day.
The local tv news station did a story on it the next day and it was in the local paper as well.

I guess the big thing was the alcohol being added to the freezies.?
The location is pretty good to catch post clubbing business.
The Taco Bell Cantina (24hrs) is next to a buffalo wild wings (24hrs), nacho daddy (8-2 &24hrs) & hot & juicy crawfish (11-12/1)

The reason I stress the hours is because I was shocked at how many restaurants were shut down at 10 or 11 on weekdays....
....literally nothing open for restaurants in some areas. Especially downtown Fremont Street unless you want a slice of pizza or bar food.
    I mean c'mon it's VEGAS!!!!!! sheesh!

FWIW, the place was packed this Wednesday night at 7pm. I laughed to myself as it reminded me of this VMB post.

I feel the same way but I also know that despite the hell TB unleashes on your stomach, it's damn tasty and at 2a when I'm stumbling around looking for something easy and comfort-foody it'll be hard to pass it up, especially since I'll be staying right there at PH on the next trip.

Going to try to resist and play this internal monologue, though: *only a few more yards to get to Earl of Sandwich...you can make it*

7pm mid-week and it was packed?
It makes me curious about the prices.
    They must be really cheap.

I'm sure the novelty will wear off in the near future.

They are opening one of these in Austin. Of course we have a thousand regular Taco Bells already but this is the first "Cantina" one. I happen to think Taco Bell is completely vile unless I am reeeaaallly drunk so I can't imagine the Vegas nor Austin ones will tempt me.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. Taco Bell, the only restaurant to survive the franchise wars. Gawd, I hope that never happens! lol

Not so sure about that. Lots of people "go with what they know". Takes the guesswork out of it.

I think since it's on the strip, their dollar menu will be a $2.99 dollar menu, or more! About the only thing on Taco Bell menu I can take is the soft taco...

I didn't get a chance to take a peek in the inside while I was there....
.....but maybe someone who's going soon could take a few pics of the inside and specifically of the menu or menuboard
To get an idea of prices for the alcoholic slushie drinks.

If nobody does it before the holidays I'll drop in and do so, as I'm mainly curious about it. I know that Denny's appears to be working downtown so maybe Taco Alpo will make it on the Strip.

I'm sure they will have a few of the slurpee type Margarita and Daiquiri type drinks as specialties, and since you'll be paying for them, I'm sure they will have more kick than the ones that WH used to serve for free.

for some reason a lot of my friends were extremely excited about this....but I felt the same way that it can't be that much better than a regular taco bell and I much prefer a white castle meal when drunk and broke!

Taco Hell is cool late night, it hits the spot and helps me do a sort of a cleanse so the next day I start the day with an empty tank!

I'm excited for this place! Hopefully there prices won't be terrible. With the amount of alcohol I drink, 4th meal is always needed!!!

I hear you! I love eating at the great places in Vegas, but fer cryin' out loud, every meal doesn't have to be a big to-do. To quote the old guy (his name escapes me) from the first season of Survivor: I ain't above eatin'. I've been on fun streaks and grabbed a burger and pie from McDowell's Downtown to hold me over or a slice of pizza at Harrah's. Not shutting everything down when it's not necessary, just to say I ate somewhere nice. Plus, like you basically said, sometimes you just want what you want.
