We'll sure enough when I booked my room back in November I didn't even think twice that it could be super bowl weekend, considering Sat & Sun night was comped. Not a FB fan and I normally work during the SB so it's just usually another day for me. I've been to Vegas many times, I know how busy it gets on Fri/Sat in the summer and how slow it is on a Monday night in the winter. ..but I've never been during SB weekend.

What can I expect? Staying at Mandalay Bay. Is it going to be much more busy than a typical busy weekend? Like overwhelmingly busy? Would you expect most strip properties to sell out? I have dinner reservations made so that's covered. I don't care about the clubs, parties or sportsbooks so that's no worry. ..but what about the table minimums? Can I expect BJ and roulette tables to be jacked up higher than a usual Fri/Sat night? If a table is normally $15-$25, how much higher could they bump up the minimums? Is the casino floor just totally slammed?
Also wondering about video poker bar tops... I play 25c max bet VP at all the strip properties. Is it possible VP bars are able to bump the machines to $1 min VP? Do/can they do that during peak times?

Any past experience or insight about being there on SB weekend is appreciated.

It is one of the busiest weekends of the year. Prices will be higher on your table games, generally speaking. Slots and VP won't change. Just have more people on them.

I stay away from the Strip, but several years ago, MGM had every blackjack and craps game at $50 or higher in the evenings on the weekend.

I'll be at MB this year as well and was there last year. Table mins basically go up to $25 and most tables and machines are very full. I have never seen the denom change on the machines so you are good there. It will be much busier weekend for sure but not horrible.

The table mind MIGHT start going down Sunday night, so maybe save your play until then. If you are still there Monday, the table mins will be back to normal

Can reasonable table mins still be found Downtown on that Saturday night?

Agree with Rush... it's one of the year's busier weekends, but it's also a helluva lot of fun! VP and slots will be the same, but lotsa people playing.

    Following....

Been to Vegas like 60+ times, but never for Super Bowl. We go for memorial day weekend every year, I suspect it can't be any busier than that.
