One of my coworkers who is not a big gambler went to Las Vegas last year to see Shania Twain before she ended her show. He booked a package staying at the Eastside Cannery and knowing how cheap he is I recommended going to the Longhorn for cheap food. The earful I got when he got back after taking his wife there for breakfast was priceless.

A friend of mine who lives in Henderson took me to the Longhorn awhile back. Interesting for sure. Somewhat reminded me of Vegas Vacation when they end up at the offbeat casino. Dollar black jack table, had a lot of fun cheaply. The only cocktail waitress was by every few minutes.

The Longhorn is not for everyone, that's for sure. We've eaten in the café a few times and have enjoyed our food every time. I'm really bummed they didn't repeat the 2/1 coupon for the café in this year's ACG. It's certainly got a lot of "character" and is inhabited by a lot of "characters" that's for sure. But the blackjack is fun to play for low stakes - you can double down anytime! Even after being dealt multiple cards!

They don't sweat the matchplays and the new ACG coupon for $10 Slot Play for $5 couldn't be any easier. And it was fun, you can cash out at any time - it will print two tickets - one for your cash winnings and one for the balance of your "free play."

    Overall, we like it!

Looking forward to trying Emerald Island on our next trip - armed with our MRB and ACG coupons, of course!

    Cheers,
    Kelly

the longhorne gets a big play from local casino employees on their way home from work-----easy to park their car and walk a few steps to the front door----then the inexpensive food and drink even if they do not gamble-----
