Had a reservation for 2 for this Wednesday. Booked it a couple of weeks ago. This morning I got an email saying it was canceled.

    Not happy.

Well that sucks. I was hoping for a positive do-over with Mr. Newton's protege after last trip's marathon. Apparently no reason or you'd have said. Joe probably had reservations also so wonder how he fared. Good luck this trip to you and yours.

No reason was given, the email came from Open Table. I don't think Joe gets in till Friday. It looks like Wednesday and Thursday are totally booked.

Maybe they scheduled some maintenance or big groups wanted the place.

I can get Tuesday (our arrival day) but we kinda planned to spend time at Sam's Town that day.
I can get Friday but that's our last night in town, have a 6:30am flight on Saturday. On our last night we typically have pizza in the room and get our bags packed.

Kim will call but I expect they have a canned explanation on hand.

We were hoping to have a nice comped meal there.

I started using Open Table a few trips ago and I have reservations for 5 people on both Saturday and Monday at Redwood. That better not get cancelled.

Those are the nights they used to close. When they took out Pasta Pirate, they went to 7 days a week. I guess they're going back to the old schedule. That sucks for you.

If they're having to revert to closing during the week, then I might think Ty could be able to snag a weekend reservation if he hurries.

Edit: looks like he can. But the days don't fit too well. Bah.

And Sam's Town on Tuesday? Hammering the 9/7 DB with min $1500 progressive for full points on the floor? Or just ho hum 9/6 Jacks at the bar? haha. Sam's Town was another casualty this last trip. Only 3 days, with 2 people that ~never play VP. :(

It will be the ho hum variety you mentioned. Hopefully we make it to Sam's Town, as long as we don't get too settled in at MSS.

We've never played VP at Sam's Town, I'd like to do some coin-in on my card and have dinner there. If we like the place maybe we'll start our next Vegas trip with a couple of nights there.

It's possible the Redwood remodel is starting.
