Old Hooters Casino: Rare "BLACK DICE" - Anyone have knowledge of this?

Hello from a Vegas native.

I'm curious, does anyone here have any knowledge regarding "BLACK DICE" from the old Hooters Casino? Research has been difficult, as these are considered very rare. Only several packs of 5 were ever tested by Hooters, and they were made by Paulson Dice Co., not there usual supplier which was the Bud Jones Co. I have heard that they were banned from the Gaming Control Board due to their opaqueness for starters. These are considered extremely rare, with the last known online sale of a pair back in 2013. I have no knowledge of their value, even through extended research. I thought that this intelligent community here might find some answers to it's history, legal issues and/or values. Yes, I have had 2 of them for some time now, but they were packed away and forgotten. Now I wish to possibly sell them, but I am newly fascinated again by their history, even short lived. I thank anyone in advance for their kind input...on any of it.

 

First of all, welcome to our board. I've never heard of these dice but if you posted this question in another forum with a different title you may get some members who are familiar with these. Thank you Beach Crazy for that advice. Being new here, I struggled to navigate where to even begin posting this one. I was hoping for some guidance. I will attempt to post my questions on "Black Dice" to your suggestions. I'm an experienced computer user, Admin to other sites, and very computer literate, for nearly 30 years now, but this site had me scratching my head. Much respect for your time in informing me.

 

There are some dice collectors on the chipboard message board,non-official MB of the CC+GTCC (Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club).I'm pretty sure someone can help you out there if not here. BTW the CC+GTCC has a yearly convention in LV if you are not aware. Good luck.
