My aunt was able to get Mlife Noir, but never goes to play slots, tables, do hotel stays, or anything at the strip, yet came home with a Noir card because she knew someone who worked at MGM. Don’t they get audited as a host to see who they vet for Noir?...

Anything is possible, but it's HIGHLY unlikely. Maybe your Mom's friend had it printed as a "gag" gift.

Did you actually see the card?

And even is she did get a valid Noir card, offers are based on play, not level.

Yeah saw the card. Looked legitimate. But is there a way for her account to be flagged if there isn’t much play?.. I’m Platinum myself but I put in time in trips and play. Not that I’m hoping she will be flagged but isn’t there usually a way to find these types of accounts?

If the person your aunt knows at MGM is high up enough, well then...as @DaiLun said, anything is possible. It doesn't look like there are a lot of hard benefits to Noir, so it may not even be a huge deal. I've seen a lot worse...people doing their personal Christmas shopping (for some very, very spoiled kids judging by the $ amount) on company money, paying for their country club membership with company funds, etc. If the person has enough power within the company, no one dares to say anything about it.

Of course, I've also seen people get caught and prosecuted for such things...which is pretty amusing as well. One lady was actually serving jail time on the weekends for embezzlement...and then coming to work and...yep, you guessed it...embezzling more money! She finally got caught at the 2nd company after she hit the quarter million mark.

So yeah...giving away Noir...probably not a huge deal.

Frankly, why do you care? From what you say, your aunt is never going to use it for anything, or even visit the Strip. This entire thread seems odd for a new member/first post

Noir is listed as “By invitation only”.
If somebody high enough up in the MGM Corp. invited her then she has a card.
Most of the benefits are for people who stay in the hotel or play in the casino.
Outside of the extra % shopping discount , Noir gets a 7 night cruise vs. a 4 .Maybe that is what Auntie was looking for.

Perhaps her MGM friend printed her a card with a Noir card. For example, I'm diamond with CET and I get a card printed on a Gold card. You can look at her MLife account online to see her tier status.

Maybe your aunt lives a double life as a High Roller on the weekends. Hey, anything is possible

Sure, somebody can issue anybody a NOIR card. She did something, or knows somebody.

If she never goes back to the casino, it is worth... well.. nothing.

Heck, even if you go to the casino, it is barely worth anything.

It will not get a room. It will not get you dinner.

I have 2 friends who were recently given Noir cards. They are very low rollers. They got free airport transfer so it clearly is real. They are big spenders at Hyatt which has a partnership with MGM but the highest they have offered is platinum and now is only gold. Not sure why they got it but I’m jealous.

Whoa, that is a bravery level I don’t think I’ll ever get to. Haha! Thanks for the input!

If there are other ways to get Noir and the benefits without having to spend as much money out of pocket, who wouldn’t want to know how? Also, I’ve been perusing these pages off and on, but only recently made an account because I finally have a question I haven’t seen answered yet.

Seems a little off-handed of you to make such a remark since people are here to discuss and learn about processes.

Probably. Smart of her to get it if that’s all it’ll take, is to know someone. I know she was wanting hotel stays and the cruise. But wasn’t sure if her account will be flagged later on if they see she doesn’t play.

That’s what I was wondering, whether or not it’ll disqualify her later on for future benefits. Thanks for the input!

Haha! Doubt it. My aunt is an extreme cheapskate. As in, “brick in the toilet tank”, “drying paper towels for reuse” type of person. But would definitely be a surprise if she was a high roller.

Haha! Same! But yeah if there’s another way to get about without being flagged and without having to get so much out of pocket money, it’d be really cool to know.

This is possible. I once got a higher tier card printed for me bbn on accident from a local casino. Since I was lowest tier, it didn't print out an expiration date either. I parlayed that into a CET diamond match. Lol But they insisted on taking the card away. :(

I think we all agree but I feel like I've seen you write this 4,000 times over the years and I just noticed it's also in your signature block lol.
