Quite a few, but not as many as I should have. Seems every time I'm in Vegas and there is a meetup I end up not being able to go. I was gonna go to that Bingo meetup that NFC setup, but ended up getting sick earlier that trip. Other times there were slot pulls or other things that well I didn't wake up for cause I might have over done it the night before . People need to schedule these things at the beginning of my trips! I've actually think I've met more in AC than Vegas too.
Most people met in one group - meet up and slot pull at Cosmo, Sept. 2022 Random people I’ve run into - @luck.ofthe.draw at Cosmo last May and @Astribling playing cards at Bally’s a few years ago Person I didn’t meet, but he was playing cards with @Astribling - @Jer (but I met him at the Cosmo slot pull ) @maxev at Martha Stewart’s good things dinner. Most recently met - @Gaggles and JR at Gustavs bar in Dec, had drinks with @Christina6001 and @Tarpie at NOBU Paris, same trip edited to add: I was fortunate enough to catch up with @bubbakitty and his lovely wife as they were headed to the airport for a Vegas flight. Their go-to breakfast place just happens to be right by my office so I popped in and had a cup of coffee with them. Had a great visit, even found out we had gone to the same high school, 10 years apart, and our dad’s played golf together. Small world!
I’ve met about 10, at varying levels from “a bit of nice conversation” to “yes, I’d love to stay in the spare bedroom of y’all’s suite!” Haven’t regretted any… yet.
Disturb me for a few minutes. I wouldn't care. Lol A couple of members have "spotted me in the wild" for our first meeting, @casinokid68 and @Timberwolf1, iirc. Overall? Gosh I dunno. I wouldn't be shocked if it was 50ish... and not always in Vegas. @Travel Fanatic I met up with at Epcot. Lol
@ColoVegPlayer and a friend of his. Don't remember the user name. Saw @Travel Fanatic in the high limit room at Mandalay Bay a few years ago. Didn't say anything. He was playing.
I have met several VMBers that way. Next time come say hello. 99 percent of the time, I am in a great mood. The other one percent, I am betting flags and gnashing my teeth lol
I gotta go with SH0CK's answer here too. Those suite parties were crazy huge at one point. Our awkward romantic dinner? I'm still a little disappointed that you didn't buy me a rose. I've done 20+ large group meet ups, ranging somewhere between a dozen and 50? people. I've had at least 30 small meal meet ups on top of that with one to five other VMBers. I have no idea how to do the math for repeat meets, but it's been a lot.
Hmmmm, too many to remember. LOL There were quite a few meet-ups, and of the ones a few years ago, I probably won't remember many names. But I've also met some people who have now become close friends or even family!
I haven't met anyone, but I did see @MohrPfun once. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it was him until after the fact. Honestly, my eyes were drawn to his husband instead of him. Not being rude @MohrPfun, but I was fully captivated by him! He was wearing the most incredible cape!!!! Later, when I read your post about being at a Cosmo awards ceremony, I realized that it was you and your husband that I had been admiring.
Zero. Just kidding. Sparky4 already said she met me lol I have no idea as I don’t keep count or track of these things. People seem to think it’s a lot. I’ve been to multiple slot pulls (that was actually my very first meetup!), drink meetups, and one bingo meetup. Plus a lot of 1:1 or small group get togethers for dinners or drinks. I tend to like the latter better to get to know people on a personal level while doing something I enjoy But what I’m super curious about is how people are spotting other VMBers in the wild? That would freak me out lol. Which is why I post things after I’ve left there, usually. I’m getting a little bit more comfy about posting which hotel I’m staying at cuz they’re usually ginormous so feel somewhat safe and am hardly ever there except to sleep lol. Is it because they posted pix of themselves? I’m always open to meeting people. Haven’t had a bad encounter and hope it stays that way. Everyone is super fun, friendly and smart. I also just like the sharing of good info.
pretty much, some post their pics in trip reports, although a bunch of years back. I was in the diamond lounge in New Orleans, this couple comes up and ask If I was "New Orleans Slimm" yes I am, I cant remember which member is was from here as I was drunk lol, but she said she got all detective and was going through my old post and somehow put enough evidence together to identify me lol...I rarely post pics of my face
one of the "you cant make this up" back in 2017, a member here said he would be at Carnaval Court during my trip dates with his girlfriend Kristina, to which I told him Id also be there and at the time my girlfriend was named Kristina, the spelling helps this story as not many spell it with a "K"...so my girlfriend starts talking with this girl at Carnaval because they were wearing the exact same dress. turns out that not only is it the VMB members girlfriend, wearing the same dress, they had the same birthday as well just 1 year apart, spelled their name the same. very odd lol

I've met two because they posted their exact location, live, in a trip report, and I was very near. In one case, like 15 feet away. So I introduced myself. I suppose it had potential to creep them out... but in both situations, we hung out and went on to have a meal together. And I've read similar posts in their subsequent trip reports, so I didn't cause a "wow, I'll never post that info again," reaction. I can't recall if I'd seen a pic of one. Definitely not the other. In addition to fundraising and show of support, weren't the VMB wristbands partly intended to identify fellow members, and say hello?
