Has Calling Mlife Ever Led to Comped Rooms?

The past couple of years we've been visiting Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun in CT. Unfortunately, the MGM at Foxwoods is not part of Mlife. Even though we haven't been to Vegas, AC or Tunica the past few years, I've continued to get offers.

Well, my son moved to Birmingham Ala, so it looks like we'll be revisiting the South for vacations. In my June newsletter, I had offers of $50 free play and 2 comped nights at the MGM property the Gold Strike. I've been waiting for the new offers as we'll be going to Tunica the end of the month.

So far - no offers for Gold Strike at all. I emailed them concerning this and received a response back that they would forward this to the appropriate dept. Do you think it would be better to call them or just take my comped nights at Fitzgerald's and Horseshoe ?

Tunica casinos are pretty spread out and what we liked about staying at the Horseshoe and Gold Strike is they're in a half circle and easy to walk from one to the other thereby letting us drink and not worry about driving.

Being we haven't been to an MGM casino in years, it's just my bad luck that they would cut us off of offers the month before we'll be visiting.

    Thanks for any thoughts!

yes, just calling can often lead to a comped room. in your case, that you haven't played with MGM in years, it's unlikely to yield any results.

I would call. Getting rooms will vary by current crowd. Tunica still gets sold out, often on Fri/Sat that makes getting rooms difficult.

Don't forget that Beau Rivage is just a bit further down the road from B-Ham. Great place to visit.

Do you think I should call Mlife or Tunica Gold Strike direct?

And yes - we decided when we go down to see Jon in March - we're finally going to Biloxi. Harrah's is giving me 3 comped nites.

First heard about Biloxi on our first trip to Vegas. The woman next to me was heading to Biloxi the next week. I told her she better check the news as there was no Biloxi due to the hurricane.

Harrahs hotel is very nice. Casino is boring. Food is fair. We were doing Harrahs for a long time due to free rooms (from Horseshoe play). But, we got bored with it.

Beau Rivage is about a mile down the road. At least visit there. Worth a call to see if they can take you in - especially if a weekday. It is a mini- Bellagio.

As to calling mlife or Gold Strike direct.. hard to say.

Assume you have checked rate calendar (NOT OFFERS) for a stay at Horseshoe?
